Coach Hill: "It's still not as clean as I want these games to be...but it was a big step in the right direction...a win is a win."

Amen to that! Now it's on to Greeley to visit the Bears--who were limited to a field goal in a lopsided loss to SUU. First conference game.

What do we expect from our Cats after the big win against Sacramento State? Can Jay Hill keep the winning ways going in Greeley this week? Who is making the trip East? Should be a fun game! I'm looking forward to it.

Need to learn to win on the road. This is a great opportunity for the team to learn how to do so early in the season. Hoping for a winning streak before heading to Missoula.

I like that this team experienced winning early in the season. Especially after going through the last 3-4 seasons with far too few W's. Dang,
I miss being on the sidelines creating game imagery for ya'all but I sure have fun back in the seats sitting with family. I think there was a total of about 25-30 of our clan chearing on the Cats.
One more thing...WHAT A GORGEOUS SUNSET! Is Stewart Stadium da bomb or what? ( does anyone know how to post a pic on the forum from a droid phone?)

This is a big game for Weber, they have a great chance at building a winning streak as well as more confidence before heading to Missoula. The Bears will be coming after us after that ugly loss to Southern Utah. We need to finish our drives and turn those field goals into touchdowns, like Jay Hill said in the post game, we could have scored 50 plus points if we would have finished those drives. Now on the road that's what we need to do. We can beat the Bears, but if we don't go in prepared and focused they can and will beat us

GO WILDCATS

I'm damn excited for this game (due to the fact that I am going) that and WSU has a really good shot at starting the Conference at 1-0 with a road win to boot. Ball control offense with NO Turnovers, and a stout defense should be just the ticket for a W in Greeley.
Let's Go Wildcats!!

Do you already have your tickets? If so, where are you sitting? I'm going to head out too and I want to sit by like-minded fans. The cub fans are a bit much at times.

Don't know where our seats are at this moment. Someone else in my group is in charge of getting the tix. I wouldn't worry too much about their fans, they are VERY tame compared to Montana fans. Plus AjWildcat is going to the game, so im sure UNC will throw their garbage at him instead of any other Wildcat fan.

Nice write up by Brandon.

With where the Cats have been the past few years, I wouldn't overlook anyone either. Weber has to bring it each and every week. No weekends off!! Gotta take care of business in Greeley tomorrow. Just win baby!! :)

Ok, another week and another dollar for the CATS!!!

Cats practiced today in the Stadium at University of Wyoming as a break on their bus trip over.....

It's all about what kind of progress is made from last week? WSU is playing a team that has one victory just like themselves the only difference is, the win for Northern Colorado was against a D2 school called Houston Baptist or something. Northern Colorado received a major thrashing from Southern Utah. This game should be a big big win for the CATS this week if they are truly progressing as a team.. Greeley CO is a nice place but the football field looks like a cow pasture, yes real turf and hasn't been cut in a long time. WSU is not a pound the ball team so the field conditions could slow down the cats a bit this week.

Big changes on the depth charts with the Cats this week. Coaches are finally realizing they have to start the best players not their favorites who haven't produced much the first three games. Congrats to the defensive player of the week for the Cats with 3 interceptions against SAC of S$^%*. Good example of someone down on the depth chart was given a chance to start for the first time this season and he lit it up, AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!! Hopefully we will see the same type of changes on offense. Our star WR Cam 1# has a high ankle sprain this week, hope he is good to go. They keep moving up Danby on the depth chart but I haven't seen him do anything much this season. Doesn't even try to block on run plays...Dropped a diving catch in the End Zone last Week and stepped out of the back on the end zone on another play. Short receivers make small targets and our QB tends to always throw high which doesn't make a very good combination. We shall see...

Cats should win BIG and have a fun bus trip home.

NoCo actually has 2 wins-- against Western St. & Houston Baptist, neither quality of course. Interesting and a smart coaching call if you ask me on the Wyo practice.

I thought I heard Harrison started due to an injury, not because of a depth chart move or coaching realization of better vs favorite player?

I love Weber's chances at a win streak at the hands of NoCo, who the last streak was courtesy of. This should be a decent measuring stick for next Friday's game vs SUU. I can't wait for game time and continuing to see how this season plays out. Still optimistic for good improvements and growth this season and still holding out hope for 5 wins, starting with number 2 tomorrow. GO WEBER!

Harrison started for injured Mitch Tulane. Houston Baptist is FCS (Southland Conf) but not very good, obviously.

A little surprising that they burn the RS with Shaw at this point, wasn't he pretty much flying under the radar? Anywhoo, he looks better than Clark in just a few series. It'll be a great comparison if he gets the whole 2nd half to show what he can do. I like it so far, keep it up young buck.

Doesn't the defense have anything to play for, prove? They've seemed a little off but just not getting the job done after halftime. I'm still scratching my head why Clark comes back in (and promptly throws a bad pass for a int) when you burn a RS, with decent results. :wtf:

I was feeling better about SUU next week after 3 quarters than after 4, but I guess a win's a win; a road win's a road win; a conference win's a conference win; and a win streak's a win streak. :thumb:

I agree. When you win 2 games a year, a win is a win! This next game is huge!! What do you guys think about Justin Shaw or Billy Green getting some more snaps? Billy would have won the last 2 games easily based on last year's performance. He is talented and I feel bad he hasn't won as a starter yet. Justin looked good in the 3rd quarter and he looks like a slinger if you judge by his highlight video. http://youtu.be/6CpSp6R4C_Y" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I know he is only 18. Does anyone know if he is a mission kid? We might need him sooner than later. Also, respect to Jadrian for competing and simply pancaking the UNC player who picked off his pass in the 4th quarter. I wasn't even upset about the bad pass after that hit. It would have been even sweeter if we would have recovered the fumble. Please beat SUU. Go WEber!
