I'm at that point as well. Safron looks lost back there. Total regression from weeks 1 and 2 and even playing worse than last week. Total embarrassment.Kadeezy said:Magleby healthy yet?

I haven't heard one yet, and I agree we will see paltry numbers the rest of the way. CP is having a great year so maybe they bring a lot of fans for that game but other than that we'll be lucky to break 8k.Kadeezy said:SDHornet said:I'm at that point as well. I'm not kidding you when I say this loss will cost us 1000s in attendance for the rest of the year. Did radio say the #?
Kadeezy said:We're an FCS joke. This was a game we needed if we thought we had any shot at a playoff game. I don't know what it is, but whenever we get on the cusp of success, we just sh1t all over ourselves...

TD UND 35-7 late 4th. This game was a lot closer than the score will indicate, it would have been even closer is Safron didn't isht himself all game long.
The D had great pressure tonight and if they get this pressure next week ISU will struggle. ISu doesn;t have the running game that UND has. Now if Safron starts and shits down his leg again then yes, the D will get winded...again.Green Cookie Monster said:Think the D is winded now, wait till next Sat. at elevation with the same 60+ pass plays.
SactoHornetAlum said:Horrible night. Horrible decision making by Safron and the coaching staff. First I questioned why we went for it on 4th and 1 from our 45. The worst part abut that play was UND had 16 guys on the field and not one official threw the flag. Also their ball placements were a bit questionable too.
Defense left on the field way too long. Two turnovers in the red zone is absolutely unacceptable. The fumble at the five was the center's fault and correct me if I'm wrong but I think that was the same drive he was banged up a bit near midfield.
Time to make a qb change. Give Magleby a shot as far as I'm concerned.
Two steps forward, three steps backward with this program.

It caught UND off guard and Saffron tried to quick snap it but ended up running right into his center, giving UND great field position. You could literally see the life go out of the defense, and UND proceeded to run down our throat the rest of the game.
I've never been a fan of Saffron and was disappointed when he was named starter. Was surprised by the Colorado game and thought I was maybe too harsh on him, but the last two games confirmed my fears. He can't read defenses or make throws other than the occacional screen or fade. He missed so many guys tonight and threw into coverage. I thought when we hired Sperbeck he was supposedly a great developer of QB's...who has he developed since he's been at Sac? Fleming fell into his lap and was good for one season before getting hurt. MBT was in and out of the lineup. We haven't had a steady Qb since Ricky Ray.
We were gashing UND's D with the run all first half but for some reason every time we got on their side of the field we'd decide to start throwing the ball.
UND is a solid club, but that was a win for the taking, and we absolutely yakked all over ourselves

This.
We seem to lack consistency and above average success at QB. This is on Sperbeck. He has had six years to have a stable of waiting QB's and Safron is supposed to guide us above .500 for only the second time in six years?
I kinda liked the Pro-set used by Volek. The QB's were bigger, less mobile but had rifle arms and could go deep. We keep getting these half runner/half passer kinda QB's who either get hurt or aren't too particularly good at either throwing downfield or shifty enough to be a good runner. Most have shotgun arms that isn't worth the throw over 25yds.
I am really getting tired of another 4-7 season.
I thought Peterson was going to score points? His old team came back from being down to PSU to win the game. The system that is making SUU successful is not the OC, it is the HC and I can only blame these lack luster games/seasons on Sperbeck.
He is a likable fellow and gets the job done in every category but one.
Is that what we want?
Super Hornet said:Wait a minute. We're 2-2. The season hasn't been pi$$ed away yet. Why are we freaking out as if it already has been?
We have a chance to get our act together against hapless ISU next week, and we can build from there. Why not give the guys a chance to build the character required to win? It's not over yet!
You are so right. Being 2-2, I will take it. We still have a chance to be in the playoffs. Also Manuel Noriega has always been a dictator, but he was our dictator. Then he decide to go rogue, and the CIA just became fed up with him and got rid of him.Super Hornet said:Wait a minute. We're 2-2. The season hasn't been pi$$ed away yet.
