Week 5 Attendance

What has we expect for attendance on Friday? Does a Friday night game affect the turn out? It is a rivalry game and not on TV. Looking like the weather might be good after all. It's military appreciation night and jersey night (little league?). Home opener drew almost 10k, can we get maybe 12k?

My guess is 10,500 though. Any guesses?

The real question is, how loud will the Weber fans be and are any students going to take the lead and get the Pack rockin? It think my 3rd Down Get Loud sign is still in the alumni association office. It only takes a few who truly believe, to get some noise in the stadium!

This guy says it best.

Has any student done much since you graduated? Not having a student fan group on campus really hurts our student section. I thought that was a major prerogative for athletic marketing this year. Guess they didn't get it done again. D'uh, but who would have thought they would? At least they are consistent with inflatables. :thumb: (SARCASM)

There is one problem with Friday night lights, and that's contending with High school games, hoping that won't affect it too much, but we will lose that group

Yes. There is a conflict with HS football. However, the message that is being sent is that we care about our LDS players, coaches and fans. We seem to care a bit more about it than YBU. I find that interesting. To some extent, we also seem to care about the elk hunters.

I like what we are doing. Good call! :coffee:

Free ticks to military members and fams. I hope we get them all.

So what is the FREE ticket promotion this week? Havn't seen one yet.

Haven't seen a freebie, but I'd like to. The Standard has been running a 5 reserved for $25 or 5 general, 5 dogs, and 5 drinks for $50. I'll probably snag a "buddy passes" off my boy's student ID unless someone hands me a couple extra tix at the gate.

I'm guessing 8,500 actually in attendance Friday. Hoping for more but with HS, hunts, and potential weather, that seems about right.

While I am on record for not being a fan of free tickets to every game, I DO think that Military Members and their families should be free every game. :twocents:

If we can get the stadium half full, I'll consider that good.

The bigger problem might be the weather. 50% chance of T-storms for game time. Rain might keep some people away.

I'm confused about how I'm supposed to get my ass off of my lazy ass. Like, do I have two?

WSU really needs to step their game up in those luxury suits, I have sat there a few times and have NEVER been offered tea & crumpets. I guess I will have to settle with the $5 Coke

Yup, redneck thinkin' & talkin' :ohno:
At Stewart Stadium (& DEC) if it weren't for the "blue hairs" there, attendance would average about half what it is. :twocents:

Man, lighten up and have a laugh over something that is humorous and just happened match where you might find "blue hairs" at Stewart Stadium (west side). After my Grandfather, who was huge supporter of WSU and significant donor, passed away, I continued to care for my Grandmother for nearly 15 years before she too passed. I took my "blue hair" Grandmother, rain or shine, to the west side of Stewart Stadium, to her long time season seat in the heart of "S" seats. I continued this well past the point where she most likely shouldn't have continued attending due to declining health, but she loved her Wildcats, as do I. I loved my Grandmother very dearly and respected her dedication to "her" teams. I'm not so uptight that I can't laugh at a description that matches her last years, she would have found it funny too.

I did find it funny! I happen to be a "blue hair" which is GRAY hair, that in purple tinted glasses takes on a blue hue. Bless us older folk who support WSU athletics!!! The red neck thing is just that...look at the video, if some of those other words said weren't red neck, then what would you call them?

Like 'oldrunner' said in earlier posts, the building of support of the YOUNG folk is what needs to be worked on for the solid future of WSU Athletics. There are a high number of us gray hairs there at the games. And yes, we find humor in a lot of things, including those who "dis" on other teams ("pukes") etc.

You are in good company.

Sorry, I misinterpreted your post, Alumni. I have enough grey hair to be in the club myself. I'd love nothing more than to see the students and younger crowd support their school but it's an age old problem that doesn't seem to want to change. It could be worse I guess, we could all be "watching cars go in a circle, drinking beer, waiting for a crash."
