Week 8 - (RV) SAC (4-3, 3-1 Big Sky) vs. (#4) Montana (7-0 3-0 Big Sky)

I'm hoping that we can pull out a little magic like the last time we played the Griz at home, which was also a Friday night ESPN2 game. I think we came back from like 10 or 14 down in the fourth to win it in overtime. However, I have a feeling we'll have to rely on the arm of Williams to win it and that doesn't give me much hope.

Speaking of QB's, is Rashada really that bad of a thrower that he can't beat out Williams or is it just Williams is better in the running game?

In a run heavy offense, you go with the better runner which is Williams by a wide margin. If Williams was to get hurt, I'd rather see Malone get 4 games worth of reps under his belt before going to Rashada.

More gas to the fire. The Panda fans should prove him wrong and buy a bunch of flights, hotel stays, meals and game tickets to show him who's boss. You guys seriously going to let our "clown President" talk to you like that? Show him up and travel to Sac for the game this Friday, we dare you!

This weeks Stingers Up episode:

I encourage everyone to really think about how much of the heavy lifting this president is doing.

He's doing the AD's job, the marketing job and taking all of the arrows just to keep the attention on the school and get butts in the seats. He's also increasing enrollment, increasing housing and trying to expand the campus. I wish our president didn't have to be a "fight promoter" but he is trying to drag 31k students and 250k alumni across the finish line. He's even motivating Montana fans and giving them new purpose.

Forget politics and appreciate the tenacity.

Well said. I think Dr. Wood's goal at halftime of the UNC game was to make this the most viewed Hornet football game ever (both tickets and digital). We'll see how much more hype can be pumped into this game.

Dr. Wood is Cool! (j/k) Good luck not having a Conference! Are you paying Davis 275k a year to play you now?

I did not get a chance to watch much of the last game week, but have watched pretty much every other snap this season. Given William’s lack of ability to drop back and sling it, given with the amount of talent we have brought in at WR/TE, and given the run game success, I’m surprised we have not had more success even in short and mid range throws and giving athletes a chance. I’m just hoping to see some more Play Action with big pocket movement, not so much PA in the pocket, give Williams a clear view in front of him with underneath and mid range throws. Let his legs be a threat all the time and put defenders on an island out in space. Always easier said then done, I just think it’s obvious people know to key in on Campbell now but I feel we have at least three other quality options to look at in the passing game and we need to find ways to get them involved to keep teams honest as the season goes on.
