Weight Room

I checked that out the other day. Unbelievable! I heard that JC Sherritt threw up 400lbs on the bench this morning. This team is going to be a force to be reckoned with in 2010. Go Eagles!!!

We always wonder if our guys are working hard during the summer - they are and they are competing and having fun too. BTW the new strength and conditioning coach is setting an amazing tone for the team.

My insider says the same thing ! getting stronger and bigger in the month he's been in charge than all of last year !!! Why did we wait sooooo long ! GO EAGS !!!

Ran into a couple of players today (Taiwan and Matt Martin) and both were looking large. We spoke about the new strength coach and Matt mentioned it was more similar to the old days (with strength coach Darin Lovat) in both structure and intensity. Watching that video brought back some GREAT memories of max days during the summer!

Ladies and gentlemen, these Eags are ready to get after it in camp and come out firing against Nevada. The countdown is on!

Has TJ put on any weight from last year. He's a little light at 200... if he bulked up to 210/215, he'd probably break more tackles. He's going to need to put on some lbs once he gets to the NFL anyway.

I'm not sure about a specific # but he passed the look test. He's thicker than last year (in a good way, not fat) and reminds me a lot of a young Darius Washington. D-Dub was a bit larger, but TJ is much faster and more elusive. IMO, Taiwan should watch some film from our 04 season to see how a tall back can still power through defenders and break tackles. Those two players match up physically pretty well.
