Just wanted to say good luck this weekend against us. Look forward to seeing a good game of football. I predict (as well as numerous others on e-griz) a blowout game, no offense intended. My pick for the week...

What's your guys picks for this weekend?
 
wags get sacked 3 times, throws 2 pics. defense plays tough, holds montana to under 30 pts. but, as usual, we come up short again......and hopefully, its downing and darnells's fairwell to greeley, colo and unc. please, somebody stop me........... how close am i?

Hey Bearsfan24,

13thwarrior was being cordial and respectful btw, as are most of the Griz posters who stop by here. Just because Hinrichs and Downing have run a championship football team into the ground, doesn't mean you need to take out your frustrations on us. And btw, I'm a Griz fan and Griz alum, but I've worked at UNC for over 16 years. I've seen the demise of the UNC football program first hand. I feel for you guys a lot. Hopefully things will change for the better after this season.

So now for my pick:

From where i'm sitting the football program was run into the ground before Hinrichs or Downing got here. By my calendar, there hasn't been any championship football played in Greeley for over 10 years.

Dear Montana:

Please run up the score on us to make sure bitch tits Downing gets his walking papers. Keep the first string in for the entire game no matter what and no running the clock down with running plays up the middle. Although, now that I think about it, those would probably go for touchdowns also. Good luck in the playoffs.

I've said it before, Its time to man up and take responsibility for whats happening here. Quit trying to blame the past. When we went D1, we expected several years of tough times as we were competeing with 40 -50 scholarships against teams fully funded. Downing has had the scholarships, as mandated by the big sky. We need to look forward. We need to change not only Downing but Hinrichs too. Otherwise we can look forward to many more years of mediocre football, and a mismanaged program with no booster interaction. I am looking forward to this game, I say Montana playing "A" game will be be around 50-10, if they come in sloppy, 35-21. :(
 
Montana overlooked ISU and it almost cost them a seed in the playoffs but the bears are in a good spot because of the rivalry game for UM following what should be this tune up. I'll go with UM by 18.

This season can't get over quick enough. Hopefully shortly after we will have reason for hope again. I see the axe has started falling around the country (Memphis, Western KY, some small schools), hopefully it gets here quickly.

We did overlook ISU, but trust me when I say we will be focused for these next two weeks :shock:
Even though our big rivalry game is coming up, UNC will not be overlooked. Hope to see ya there for some bad ace football.
