Well that was disappointing

Well that was a disappointing loss to Montana last night. The "big three" was just 12-35 from the field with 10 tos. Those guys will have to bring it against MSU Saturday night. Should be a good one, come on out to Reed, it's still a great environment for college hoops.

Every team in the Big Sky now knows about the *Big Three*. I'd like to see a few more players come to the scoring party. Hall and Solarin could be those players, as well as Preh. Could take a little pressure off the Big Three and create unscripted problems for the opponent. Perhaps easier said than done. Hope to see a full Reed Gym on Saturday. This team deserves it. Go Bengals!

Evan Hall really stepped up last night, his 11 first-half points made up for Andre's early foul troubles. Solarin is struggling to get his shot off underneath. He's a great rebounder, but his lack of size and ups sometimes makes it difficult for him to finish. Preh and Maggot are strictly dunkers when it comes to offense. I was hoping Tyler and Smith would develop into offensive weapons as their freshmen seasons progressed, but they have largely disappeared from the rotation.

Last nights game seems to be a continuation of this seasons theme, we are unable to execute in late game situations. Is it a depth issue? Are the guys just tired?

The team is thin, depth wise. I still consider it a work in progress, but after the so called big-three, there is a noticeable drop off.

Also disappointed with the women's score last night. Seton's teams have never been very good from an offensive standpoint, but this season is putting an exclamation point on it. 15 points in the first half? Ouch.
