Welp.....

Intentionally? No. But I think it speaks to the character of our team that even when we hold a massive talent advantage, we come out slow and never close out games early. I see a lot of people blame injuries... well, getting a nice lead and being able to sub out sure helps with that. Again, see Montana and Montana State as examples.

We're always going to have problems until that sense of urgency is instilled on the team.

Montana State has a good team this year. They had a great team last year, too, and were completely embarrassed in their playoff opener. I think they got the toughest opening draw, but no reason to give up a 4th quarter lead and get blown out like that. That said, until they show they can win a game in the playoffs, I'm not completely sold. :coffee:

It's hard to be "sold" on North Dakota State because their fans are so fucking miserable and have such an undeserved feeling of entitlement...

That said, they are a well run and organized program that is out there proving it on the field this year.

this could be the year for North Dak St they have a very solid squad. nothing really flashy but very good defensively however I hope they get destroyed in the playoffs most of their "fans" are so annoying.

This. They haven't faced any real offensive juggernauts though, which they will in the playoffs. I'm going to laugh so hard when they piss down their legs and team comes back on them again this year.

Regardless, I hope that NDSU loses in the first round. Every fan I met at the game last year was arrogant and slap worthy. I will be cheering for whoever plays against them every week from here on out.

:thumb: Plus it was pretty laughable when they ran down everything to do with Cheney (obviously not realizing the proximity of Spokane region amenities) and seemingly not recognizing the limitations of and the irony of coming from FARGO, North - Freaking - Dakota!

awfully quiet on here. yes the season didn't turn out as everyone wanted, but it could be far worse. look at recent national champions Villanova and Richmond.

Villanova at least made the playoffs after their Championship season....but I agree, the only team that has really had consistency after winning a championship is App State, even if they have fallen off slightly the past couple of years. I noticed they lost again yesterday. The Southern appears to be a really tough conference this year, I wouldn't be surprised if the NC came from down there this season as opposed to the CAA or Big Sky.

You left out MVFC. Like 'em or hate 'em, the Bison are a force with a tough venue to travel to and compete at. They play good defense and were one of the, if not most physical teams we played last year. And they have improved.

But I also think the cats are a very physical team and would probably be a top seed if they win out. It would be cool to get a rep from all four power conferences into the semi's. Even cooler if two BSC teams made it. 8-)

Oh yeah, the MVFC is definitely in the discussion this season. But if you look at the last several years it's been Big Sky, CAA.......Socon....I'm not sure when the last time a MVFC team played in the championship was, I.E. why I didn't list them. Might have been UNI a few years back.

I think NDSU definitely makes it into at least the semi's this season, though.........and I do hate 'em and their blow-hard fans. ;)
