I can't/won't defend VJ on his off the field issues, but as far as his contract dispute goes, I actually agree with him. I know that in today's day and age we give players a lot of crap for being so rich and overpaid, yet I really believe NFL players aren't getting the compensation they deserve. In light of the new Chris Henry findings, as well as the advancement of technology, we now know the pain and beating an NFL player takes. And in a lot of cases, cases like VJ's, he is getting paid under a million dollars as a #1 WR for a very good team, which isn't fair compensation for what he has done on the field, as well as what he might suffer afterwards, health-wise. So to be honest, I can completely understand why guys like VJ and Chris Johnson are holding out, as they are being vastly underpaid from their rookie contracts.
