WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE?

A challenge went out two weeks ago - from Coach Murrell - to "STUFF" the Coaches Lunches this year. For those of you that aren't aware:

"VIKING COACHES' LUNCHEONS: Viking Coaches Luncheons take place at noon every Monday at the Old Spaghetti Factory and continue weekly through March. Coach Nigel Burton, Viking players, and coaches representing other sports will be on hand to speak and take questions. Luncheons take place at The OSF at 0715 S.W. Bancroft in Portland. The cost is $10.00 per person and includes lunch and a non-alcoholic beverage"

So, there you have it. I'll be there. Will you?

Coincidentally, I also work in Hillsboro. As such, going to the luncheons is not so logistically-friendly. They are centrally-located and at the venue of a prized sponsor. The staff have done what they can do to accommodate things for us.

Perhaps it would be a good thing to set up live video streaming internet transmission with texting-call in so as to be able to ask questions. We're not realistically able to be there in the flesh, but we could attend virtually, and in spirit, from all venues of Viking settlement.

Right now, the luncheons serve the interests of those who can most easily be there: PSU staff and sponsors, the retired and successful entrepreneurs, and those who work nearby or have flexible schedules. I would say we do need more attendance, to STUFF the luncheons, both in-person and virtually so.

Is this internet option doable? Would it be worthwhile to engage? A high tech sponsor may be able to help, as might also OIT.
