When will Ken Bone leave PSU?

With all the talk about Bone's pending departure, I thought we should take a poll to test the opinion of the fans on when the AD will need to hire a new coach. In other words, when do you think Ken Bone will leave PSU?

I think Bone knows he'll have a good team next year and the chance to go dancing back to back. Combine that with my belief that OSU will hire somebody else, and I think Bone leaves after next season.

I don't think OSU is a good fit for Bone, and he is honestly excited for next year. Money talks, but I just have a feeling Bone will be with us for at least another a year.

That sounds about right. OSU is a crash and burn job anyway.

Bone leaves after next year? Where to? I don't think that's a given either. I think it is much more dependent on what jobs open up in the NW. Could be next year or 2 to 4 years out. Bone has indicated that he will not be leaving the NW. He won't be chasing jobs at places like Fresno, Colorado State, etc. I'd say the furthest east he goes is Boise State.

How about we not have a poll about when Ken Bone will leave and we focus on next year's team and program development?

I'm hoping that OSU hires anyone else and then let's hope that the WSU, UW, Boise State or Gonzaga jobs don't open up for whatever reason.

Bone says Oregon State’s coaching search firm has contacted him.

But he says he doesn’t feel he would be a top candidate, and “it’s not something I want to chase after. … I love the situation I’m in right here."

Found this on another limk someone posted, I think it was in the Portland Tribune.

I don't think that Bone would take a job anywhere outside of the State of Washington. Heck, he still lives in Washington (Vancouver). Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I really think he's in this for the long haul if PSU puts their money where their mouth is as far as support for athletics.

Yes he does still live in Washington! It would be great to have a coach for the long haul. I'd love to see how the program would develop under one coach. We've always taken a step or two back after a new coach comes in.
