Where is everyone? Opening weekend is almost upon us and this place is dead!! We're opening the season at home (for once), against a regional foe that fields a good team. Figured there would be more enthusiasm around here.

I, for one, am pumped for the season to start!

I think plenty are excited but it’s hard to get a feeling for how good this teams going to be. There should be plenty to talk about this time next week. Until then im nervously awaiting the opener.
 
I blame Leerfield Sports for this. I don't know why it's their fault or how. But I blame them.

Where did the season hype videos go? The week to week hype videos? Where is the marketing for this team and this program and this season?

That’s part of it. Not sure who’s running the media piece these days, but they get an “F” for pre-season hype.
 
I don't know about the media hype, but i have seen several practices and scrimmage and i think we have finally got a defense to go with our Big O. I have not seen a more aggressive and hungry group of ballers.
If the coaches let them play it will be fun to watch. If this group doesn't get this done, I think we need to look at the coaching staff. T defense is ready to hunt.

I have to wonder if our new AD is trying to keep expenses in check by cutting advertising. Bad Idea! You will never get ahead cutting, we need revenue!

Glad someone who's seen some practice spoke up. Thanks for confirming the state of the talent level. Was ready to throw the staff out last season, cooler heads prevail for now.

May be because they said week one games and EWU vs WSU is week two?
Some of those games the FCS teams are favored...gonna bet some of those games for sure if line is big enough.

I am demanding my money back from Evelyn Wood Speed Reading Course... immediately.

It will be interesting to see how Wazzu's defense plays without Grinch at the helm, guessing the offense will struggle a bit early too..

This. I remember in years past there were some awesome hype videos. But within the last year or two, that has dropped off.

My guess Wazzu's defense with a new coordinator will be tested the first game against a run/pass option team with good receivers. Lots of assignments to be covered there. And they lost a couple of really good defensive players.

I'll take Nicholls and Kennesaw State to post wins over FBS teams. NAU is actually favored over UTEP, but I have a feleling they'll piss down their leg.

UTEP is one of those great mystery programs. El Paso is a HUGE city these days and they have that whole market to themselves and no one else even close. If they ever got their shit together like Boise State, they get admitted to a big conference.

Slow down Turbo! Central Washington is a Division II team, and they aren't a regional foe! Stop! Wazzu, UW, UO, OSU, WYO, UM, MSU, UI, ISU, Weber St, yes! Central Washington?? GTFOH :lol:

Did I mention I hate when EWU plays D2 teams? EWU should be playing another FCS team from the MEAC, SWAC or home & home w/ a weak MVFC team.
