With that said... Who else could/should be considered? Gary Andersen at Utah State has done an excellent job by replicating the model started at Utah. Could the same model work at Weber State with another Whittingham disciple?

I can't pin this 1-8 completely on Sears. He DID NOT create this schedule, also it aint his fault John L kicked off a lot of talented players and then skipped town.
 
What evidence is there that Sears will be getting a contract? And I think it's important to point out that even though the situation was not Sears' fault, that does not make him qualified to run the program.
 
I have one question who the Helllllll passes on 3rd short when you have a back like tuckett that's pounding the ball all day long and the TV announcers are saying the same damn thing wow . It sound like Hammer needs the boot. Or they need to hire those announcers on the staff :wall:

If true, then he needs to hire new O & D coordinators to have a real chance of success. Let Sears try to be a successful HC (only) and concentrate on the whole program, not just defense. A gamble, but as said in earlier post, Bovee likely will give Sears a go. Hope it's not 3 years of continued misery ahead! (Shades of past; as a student, I remember back when a miserable situation with football program finally caused Wildcat Club to storm the castle & force Pres. to oust both the AD & the HC out--or face loss of support.) Yah, I'm old, it's past history for you newb's, but it happened. :|
 
YOU CAN TAKE IT TO THE BANK!!! Bovee will not be hiring Sears as the Head Coach. Period... ANYONE who says differently is just misinformed and confused.
