Why so much anger?

I've only posted on this board once here after lurking for a year or so. Not too much activity for PSU of course. But I see lots of excitement in general for Sac State over the last couple of years and of course they are trying to advance their sports program, which I am envious of because I think the Vikings could do something similar since we're the only programs in the BSky in a major city.

I guess I'm just curious why so many Sac State fans are angry on this board? It seems like a lot of points of debate prompt Sac State fans into angry argument, past fun debate. Using masked spelling to call other schools gay slurs, calling other schools shit, etc.

My school barely gets any local coverage even when we've had some notable wins, let along any national coverage, so I think I'd be happy if people even knew PSU existed. With so much positive movement, and frankly an envious amount of press coverage for both basketball and football, why are you guys seemingly so mad?

I do know who Hank is, and got my picture taken with Eric the Actor once (RIP). Speaking of Eric, I wonder if he was a Sac fan? He was a local.

But I don't know why everyone seems mad.

With UCD, they are our rivals in the truest sense. Will not apologize for anything negative said about them.

What you see is probably more tension, than anger. With the increased press coverage comes more scrutiny from around the country. Pot shots from other schools and their fan bases. Mostly on other social media platforms, but we come back here to vent a bit.

For those that participate in other platforms, Sac State fans are primarily on the defensive about a situation we support, but have no control over. So a bit of frustration.

That's my perspective, but overall I'm not angry at all. It's exciting times.
