We can't even think about winning games if we play like we did today......frustrating for everyone, just very frustrating.

One snap and clear......focus on next week with EWU who has one heck of a running back........

And by the way, our last second win at Portland St looks even worse now. The Vikings just got blasted at home by Sac St. Yes, Sac St. Let's face it fellas, Weber isn't a very good football team. The talent is there, but it takes much more than talent.

I think we have a chance to bounce back but we need to play better and take advantage of the other teams mistakes.

Bulls**t

You have a very good team, both sides made a lot of mistakes today but give our D a little credit. Our O did just enough.

Now you guys need to win out.

Without a doubt Higgins is the best QB in the BSC and one of the best in the nation. Toon had a bad game but we keyed on him, Phillips is very good and Smith is without a doubt on of the top backs in the BSC.

Go Cats (both kinds now)

good word....i still believe in the team, but we CANNOT play like today and even think of winning......at all.

WOW!! That was awful. I don't even know what to say. What was that last call on the goal line? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You have one of the greatest running backs in the history of the Big Sky Conference, and you don't give it to him? Hell, at least give it to Tafuna and run it up the center? Play action PASS!!! QB Keeper?!? HOLY MOSES!! What the hell was the OC thinking? 2-7 in the RED ZONE today. Two TOs, Two 4th and outs, and a blocked Field goal. 3 loses, and all of them can be attributed to poor red zone execution. Weber gets two TO's in the Red Zone and get 3pts out of it?? Weber should have won that game by 18-21 pts. WOW. I've got to hand it to MSU. They played a heck of a ball game. The OL opened holes and really looked good. I hope they do well the rest of the way. Also, I'd like to thank a bunch of their fans. I was selling split the pot tickets today, and at least 12 MSU fans bought multiple tickets. One bought $30 worth. Thanks for the Support!!

Also, if Weber's defense doesn't get better, its going to be a long day next saturday. I'm not impressed at all with the Co-Defensive Coordinators. Do they know what a blitz is? To me the LB's are getting worse, and the secondary is being left out to dry since there isn't any pressure being placed on the QB.

Also, don't lose a game in the process of trying to win a game. To me it seemed like Weber was playing not to lose instead of playing to WIN. Scoring the most points is the entire key to the game. Who gives a rats ass about time of possession. SCORE POINTS!! At the end, it looked like the OC was more concerned with using clock instead of scoring. DAMN USU for taking our Coaches!

SON OF A BITCH! I can't believe Weber lost that game. In my estimation Weber should have scored 45 points today, and they would have if it wasn't for awful play calling in the red zone, and untimely TOs. What the hell was with that INT in the end zone. Was Cam playing catch with the MSU secondary? I'm sorry, and this in no regards is bashing MSU, but WEBER is by far the better team, and gave that game to their cousin Cats. There is no other way of seeing it.

MSU played great, our offense didn't play great. Our D did the job. Not expecting our O to score 27 pts was on the O, the D did enough the O should have done more.

Injuries have really hurt us but there is nothing we can do about it.

We can still make the playoffs, just need to play better. When was the last yr 2 'sky teams didn't make it?

Just keep supporting the team and believe. They can improve. If the team I saw play CSU shows up we'll beat anyone by 30.

we can with the rest of the games and we'll have the same record as Montana when we beat them on Haloween night.

I really think that you have the team to do it, and hope you do!

lotta games left in the season though, 1 game at a time, it will help when you take care of EWU next week, I think you guys have a little payback for them if I remember right :)

Dear Sir, either you are a WSU fan 4life or you aren't a fan at all. Bandwagon fans in this state belong to BYU or the UofU.
I bleed fuckin purple win or lose!!

Goodbye conference championship. Goodbye playoffs. Goodbye season.
This is total BULL SHITT!! I guess by your logic Coach Mac might as well just write a note to the Big Sky Conf and tell them that WSU doesn't want to play anymore this season, and that they will try again next season. Give me a freaking break!!
GO WILDCATS!!! The true fans are ALWAYS there behind their team.

I bleed fudgin purple win or lose!!

Judging by the deafening silence I heard most of that game, I guess you are one of only a few who "bleed fudgin purple win or lose." Was I at a football game, or the library? Look, I'm a lifelong fan of Weber athletics. I was regularly going to games since before I could walk, I've continued to go every year, and will continue to go, even after games like this. The reason I have Jamie Martin on my comments is because I was there when he was shredding defences. That was 20 years ago! And I will continue to cheer louder than all of the so called fans around me. Bandwagon and fair weather fan I am not! A bandwagon fan doesn't continue to attend games, year after year, for a football program that has traditionally brought total mediocrity to the table. But I'm also a realist. And you can be a fan AND see things the way they are. And the way I see it, a football team that is 2-3, isn't very good. A good team doesn't lose conference home games to inferior opponents. And if you think we can lose another game and still have anything called a successful season, you're dead wrong. Not with this team. Not with this talent. And at this point, Weber hasn't given me any reason to think they can run the table. Call me bitter if you want, but don't call me a fair weather fan. I am terribly upset that we true fans finally get a team that actually gives us some hope, and we're let down. But, win or lose, see ya vs. Sac St. Just don't expect to see me with blinders on. :(

Gentlemen... Please, we need calm and confidence to return to this discussion. This isn't the time for wank measuring. We are all fans here. We love Weber so much that we participate (for me in excess) on this forum. We all bleed purple, and we are all entitled to our opinions, lets just be respectful.

MSU had a plan and they stuck to it. Weber allowed them to stick around. The biggest thing missing from this seasons team, contrary to last season, is the killer instinct. For some reason Weber doesn't want to offend opposing teams, coaches, or whatever, and wont put away teams. That game should have been out of reach at half-time, but... Weber let them stick around.

As for our fans... DAMN they are pathetic. Weber had more cheerleaders at the game than students. I believe that a lot of the fan support at athletic events originates with the student section. A large section of crazy students does a lot to get the rest of the stadium into the game. However, there were no students, and the rest of the crowd didn't do anything, but sit there brooding. I tried at the start of the 4th quarter to get fans on their feet and people told me to shut up and sit down. I couldn't believe it. MSU's fans were louder and more determined, and there was only a couple hundred (okay maybe more like 500). I was embarrased for Weber State athletics yesterday. The most excitment I saw from the crowd was when they were throwing the little plastic footballs at the jeep during half-time. I'm sorry, but this is the best team that has ever been at Weber State, you'd think Ogden would try a little harder for its school.

There are 2 things I learned from watching that game;

1. Montana State is LEGIT.

2. We are not as good as last season

Montana State is going to be the Big Sky Conference Champions this year, no Im not saying that just because they beat us, Im saying that because their defense looks TOP NOTCH. If they can do what they did to our offense, they can do that to EVERYONE's offense.

Giving up 469 Yards, sure doesn't sound like a legit defense to me. Montana State did not beat Weber, Weber gave this game away. That doesn't mean that Montana State doesn't have a good shot at winning the conference. We will help them quite a bit, if we can beat Eastern and Montana. Weber does play better on the road.

Weber can still win the conference, they just need some help, and can't lose again. One game at a time. Stop looking forward to the playoffs or the National Championship. Only think about the next game.

Scheduling a home game during conference isn't particularly smart either. They find the one weekend where the U and the Y aren't playing and then they schedule a game during another big event. The sad thing is that nobody outside of the bubble won't understand how things work in this state.

First, based purely on "records", going into October 3 it's Weber: 3-2, U of M: 4-0. You're iffy with Eastern Washington this weekend and an unknown Sac State next. We face the same threats before Halloween and those will tell a lot. So far we have our 49-17 thumping of Portland State and your 36-29 squeaker, so you're basing your prediction on pretty thin ice.

Second, if you're waiting for "Haloween night", you're going to miss a great game.

Here's hoping no major injuries.
