I believe their starting Qb is out so it will be the guy we faced in the second covid game. If we allow that kid to run wild again, I predict 34-31 Eagles. If we contain him, then 54-21 Eagles.

Eags should win this game as neither of these teams have won on the road in this game since Idaho returned to sky in 2018.

That said every but the 2018 game. But even then honestly looking how teams finished (you all in ship and Idaho in 10th) 24 points was maybe actually a "good showing' for Vandies.

But I feel this game doesn't go any higher then 14 point margin of victory for EWU. our 3-4 defense with tall, athletic, standup rushers seem to have done the best (other than NDSU) at keeping EB3 in pocket and the linebackers have been able to clean up anything else. That said Eastern still gets its yards and points. I picked Eastern 30- Idaho 24.

This seems fair. I pretty much agree with all of this.

Going soft on us Ranger?

Not at all. I think it’s a game that we SHOULD win…especially when viewed through the lens of cumulative stats to this point. That said, for whatever reason, we’ve not played well against them the past couple of seasons. The first game last Spring you could maybe chalk up to 1st game jitters and a bad referee decision, but we didn’t play particularly well against them in our home win, either. No answer for the Wildcat Qb look and it almost cost us the game. We’re better defensively this year so maybe that mitigates the concern some…I dunno - just not a game I see us dominating in like some of the others this season. After watching them play a couple of times I think they’ll be a tough out. I could be wrong.

May be reaching into the ether on this one, just feel this team has an axe to grind with Idaho. Unless the Eagles shoot themselves in their collective feet, this shouldn't be close regardless of who QB's for Idaho or what offense they run. Vandals just won't be able to stop Eastern. As you said, the Eagles are better defensively this season. Full stop. No lid on the points scored by the offense. If it is close, just want to see the Eagles 1-0 in this contest

We did give up too many first downs that ate up the clock thus not allowing our offense on the field more and dang 31yd fg went left again.
