Alex Wesley is more than a nice receiver. He’s probably a top 5 in FCS with NFL size and talent (not sure about his speed).

His speed? He is a NCAA Track and Field All-American (Second team).

Good for him...

I don’t think UNC’s run defense is great so I expect the rushing attack to get back on point this week. UNC has improved over the past few weeks but I really expect this to be a throttling.

EWU 48
UNC 17

Good point.

Defense shines once again with a safety.

Defense steps up UNC 10, EWU 36
Steps up?? I think they leaped up all season long! IMO stepping up would require a shut out, and I guess they could do that too.

The king is dead, long live the king...

EB3 is now the leader on offense. The game moves pretty slow to him sometimes, like the 85 yard run against SUU where everyone looked like they weren't moving at all and sometimes he misses the read on the read option... Big arm should be a WR's dream, needs to work on his intermediate passing...

He is OUR QB as of now, with an extreme amount of upside and super fun to watch.

Can he throw it 80 yards in the thin Rocky Mountain air? Bet he can. Jeff George or Bret Farve? Time will tell.

I just had a childhood flashback! Anyone remember the Vortex nerf football commercial where Favre launches the ball across an airplane hanger or something? Would have been mid 90s...

Greeley, much like Denver, Fort Collins, Boulder, is not located in the Rocky Mountains.

Reason enough to avoid it than... sorry for your loss. :ohno: No prediction than?

SR articles on the game today. Does anyone think the team is looking past UNC? Think most of us on the board know the team needs all three games to compete for the BigSky Championship. Looking to kick off this slate of games with a big performance from the OL and RB's with solid WR play on offense and for the Defense to come out prepared to meet the challenges UNC presents. Let's stay in the now.

Looking forward to seeing Keenan and Mitchell live in the UNC backfield today and despite the lack on picks this season can see our DB's getting 3 int's based on that pressure. Play heads up and leave no doubt.

Nice piece on Roldan and he's not even from Austrailia.

Ryan's breakdown of the game against UNC and his prediction. Just having a little fun.

No. 5 Eastern Washington (6-2) at Northern Colorado (2-7)

Sure, Northern Colorado has won its last two games (NAU and Southern Utah), but it also faced a pair of green, third-string QBs in those wins. EWU brings the country’s fourth-best offense (526 ypg) to UNC’s grass field, and a defense that leads the Big Sky in points allowed (15.8) in conference play. UNC, which has given up 37 sacks this year, often gives EWU trouble in Greeley. This won’t be one of those years. Eagles win their 11th straight against the cellar-dwelling Bears.

The pick: EWU 38, UNC 17
