The woment take on #1 UConn tonight. Has a UNC team ever played the number one team in the nation before (at the DI level)?

After losing 75-32 to Florida State last night, I fear that this could be a demolshment of epic porprtions. Either way, good luck to the Bears.

Great win for the women over Washington! I was listening to the game on the Washington broadcast. Are there any pictures from the games? I want to see how they set up the court in a ballroom with a max capacity of 350 people! I know the Ucon women's games are a bigget ticket than the men's games in the Hartford area, so how many UNC, oops, I mean Northern Colorado fans were there? :D

That was a really solid win. I love the fact that the team can go up against a major conference opponent and not only compete but win. Remarkable considering the resources we have and it speaks well for the recruiting and coaching.

This picture from the UNC site gives you a little bit of an idea what this ball room configuration was like, I'm guessing they might have had a few sets of risers maybe but to only fit 350 people that's nothing.

Not a bad place to go and play basketball in December:

This basketball team is certainly well traveled (for those that made it to China).

Great job by the women's team. Also what a great experience to be able to travel to Mexico for some games like that. I think it is great they got to do that - that would have been sweet when I was in school.

it was the volleyball team that went to China, not women's basketball.

Dang it! I thought about that when I was typing it but then I convinced myself it was the b-ball team.
