WR Situation

Let's discuss the WR spot in light of the Week 1 performance. Fry looked promising to me as he is as fast as he is short. Are the rest of you more of less worried about the wideouts after WOU?

Hard to tell. From watching the game, I was more concerned with both QBs' ability to assess/execute wide throws. I saw a number of occasions when a WR was wide open, but QB overthrew or threw at the wrong guy. WOU didn't capitalize on this, but a Montana or WSU would have probably intercepted a couple times.

Wolverton and Coleman both had a bad drop each, but I think they looked good for their first games.

I think overall, the receivers looks decent. They have speed, that's for sure. I did notice a lot of throws that put receivers in bad positions (up in the air with their arms up) to get hit pretty hard.

I think you have to be happy with how it turned out given the losses and cuts, especially in the second half.

What happened to Davis? Wasn't he supposed to be a stud? Did he even play?

I think he may be injured, as he was on the sidelines with his top jersey on, and no pads. I've been wondering were Austin Curran, the fullback with 4.3 speed from the same JC (CCSF) is, as he would be a good couterpart to McClintock. He was on the game program, but I didn't see him and haven't ever heard about him during the preseason camp.

I think it's eligibility issues, that was the word early in training camp and I never heard that he was cleared to play.
