WSU Basketball - 2007-08 Recruiting Class

I emailed Jasen Asay who covers WSU for the Standard Examiner. He said Sol is coming home sometime in January and will possibly go play for his brother Andy at Northwest College in WY. Jasen said he will try and mention this site and that the Standard Examiner is also going to start a WSU Blog tomorrow.

Andy is no longer at Northwest College in WY, he is teaching at Viewmont high school in UT, WSU coaches don't seem real high on Sol Jensen

Former WSU assistant resigns
(June 15)
Former WSU assistant, Andy Jensen steps down after one season (22-11) as NWC men's basketball head coach. Jensen served as an assistant under Joe Cravens from 2000-2006, he also played at Weber and graduated in '99 - the year the Wildcats took down the Tarheels.

From the S.L. Tribune "Terrence Dent, a 6-foot-1 guard from Mullen High in Denver, said he will join coach Randy Rahe's program next fall.
Dent averaged 15 points, 5.5 rebounds and four assists a game last year for Mullen. He's also being recruited to play football and counts Wyoming as one of the schools that has offered for that sport, but said he will focus on basketball at Weber State."

Standard Examiner says Randy Rahe has a verbal from a guard from California; Damian Lillard, Oakland High School

More on Damian Lillard from rmbnews.com:
"Top five Point guard Verbals to Weber State
Weber State's recent success and the hard work that coach Randy Rahe has done selling the basketball program are starting to pay dividends in the recruiting wars. The Wildcats have landed one of the top five point guards on the West Coast, according to several recruiting publications. Damian Lillard, a 5-foot-11 senior from Oakland High in California called off several official visits he had scheduled to bigger programs and orally committed to Weber State on Thursday. Last week, the Wildcats got a pledge from one of the best big men in Utah, Clearfield senior Nick Thompson. Lillard visited Weber State and St. Mary's a few weeks ago, and said he liked Weber better at that time. He was also drawing interest from Colorado State, Boise State and San Diego. All he had to do was go to class... How sad. That was the easiest thing about school.
