uh i was at the game. that last non existant play was actaully the only part that made me mad. yes, we got served 47-0, BUT we could have likely scored. unless of course we dont have a FG kicker. do we?

it was 2nd and 4 at Cal Poly 21. 15 ticks left.

so with 15 seconds left our qb motions to the sideline "what do we do?" he even does the hand signal for time out to the ref. no time out was taken. everyone just stood there including us fans....well maybe we were sitting. then the clock ran out and we went home.

i see no reason to leave any game with a goose egg. i dont care if its 100-0. why not score if you can? what was the point of that drive? we started the drive from our own 27 with more than 5 minutes left in the game. we drove it down 1 yrd from the redzone.

especially when cp was up 41-0 and did a 4 play 64 yd drive in one minute. back home we call that running up the score. these were not run plays. there was a 40 yrd long bomb with 6 min left.

I was standing next to Catcat. We were both like WTF? Why not try? Weber had all their timeouts, 15secs left, and has two kickers who can both easily hit 31 yarders, Why not run a couple of plays and try to score points?

We weren't sitting. We were yelling at the team and coaches to take the time out and kick the field goal ...and cursing amongst ourselves. Well, at least I was saying those words.

I was watching the game on AmericaOne and dosing.... Watching the game on an iPad will tend to do that to you. To me it seemed like Cal Poly started walking onto the field after that last play and we said ok. I thought we were out of time outs or something.

But then I got the sense that the coaching staff was debating whether or not they should kick a field goal or try for a touchdown, but couldn't decide. I could understand if they didn't won't to kick a field goal, but at least take a few shots at the end zone.

Unacceptable indeed. Equals poor game management and that's the responsibility of the head coach, isn't it?! Or are they saying it's the fault of the QB for looking to the sideline for effective guidance that apparently is not there! HC Sears certainly needs to get back to the drawing board and end this farce of bad football that's on him (and/or his staff)! :thumbdown:
