WSU FOOTBALL (GENERAL)

Practice is going well so far this week. Coaches told me that they are exited to play Suckramento this weekend.

After this weekend, you'll know why we are being called SACK State ;D ;)

Our 18 sacks this year are 2nd in the nation. Our O-Line, which only had 1 returner from last year and was thought to be the Achilles Heel, as only given up 4 :o

Hey we need to be nice to the Hornets!! They're a part of our conference!! Let's dis schools from other conferences but at the same time swat the Hornets with our D n hope the offense can start scoring!!

I think from here on out we will have some success! I dont see any reason we cnat finish 4-2 which would put us at 5-6 overall

Oct 13 @ Northern Colorado Greeley, CO 1 PM
Oct 20 NAU (Wing-off) Ogden, UT 1 PM
Oct 27 @ Portland State Portland, OR 7 PM
Nov 3 Idaho State Ogden, UT 1 PM
Nov 10 Fort Lewis Ogden, UT 1 PM
Nov 17 @ Eastern Washington Cheney, WA 3 PM

Several FB players suspended for most of this weeks practices due to academic issues, hopefully these players can get their act together. It's good to see McBride stressing the importance of going to class. Clearly he believes that if you don't take care of business in the class room then you don't belong on the field.

Not to beat a dead horse to death, but our marketing Dept and athletic administration have really dropped the ball. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Coach Mac get his 100th career victory this year? Why in the crap has WSU not even acknowledged this? Coach Mac has the second most victories in the state as a head coach behind only Lavell Edwards. And Coach Mac achieved this milestone while coaching here at WSU. This University should be totally embarrassed that they have not given Coach Mac the recognition he deserves. >:(

Reminds me of last season how in basketball we got our 800th all-time win and 500th all-time home win yet no one knew. Not that you can really compare that to coach Mac's record but still...

WSU played boise when our offense was terrible. It would not even be a close game if we played them now. WSU 30 USU 10

WSU has alot of confidence, and USU looks like a bunch of cowardly dogs with their tails between their legs.
WSU 42
USU 17

USU coach said that he was embarassed by the personal foul calls against them at the end of the games. Why isn't he embarassed by losing 16 in a row??

That would be because he can do something about eliminating personal foul calls. He knows for the foreseeable future losing is part of the job description.

Senior defensive lineman Derek Johnson who missed most of the season due to a cheap shot to his knee has been granted another year of eligibility and will be back on the defensive line next season. Hopefully he will recover quickly from all of the surgery he has been through. This kid is a stud! Also, does anyone know if Rio Stottler has qualified academically so he can play next season also?

That would be great to see both Johnson and Rio back next season, with a more experienced offense and good D-line we should do well as long as we have some good DB's. We lost some good players that will be missed.
