WSU to reschedule PSU game?: http://www.spokesman.com/blogs/sportslink/2015/aug/25/wa-wildfires-could-force-wsu-relocate-reschedule-psu-game/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Interesting, but expected with all of the fires.

Rescheduling after the Apple Cup doesn't seem viable since the FCS playoffs will have started. Not saying that we'll make the playoffs, but a bit of a bad message to send.

I know the likelihood of this is zero, but imagine if they moved the game to Portland. I think Providence Park is available that day and I can't imagine WSU fans not filling the stadium.

It would be great but really, PGE (or whatever it is now) only holds 20,000, not much more than UI's Kibbie Dome of 16,000, which it sounds like they are nixing that idea due to capacity. If it has to be moved, I'm thinking Seattle. Wazzu has played "home" games there before, they have a large alumni contingent in the area, and Seattle can accommodate it.

I believe there's a rule against FBS teams playing road games against FCS opponents. They obviously do that to maintain bowl team revenues and the payout system, although it would be interesting to see how lesser FBS teams would do at the home stadiums of the best FCS opponents.

Idaho has played at Montana since moving "up" to FBS. I know really they are Big Sky, playing in the conference for all other sports, but say that to a Vandal fan and you'll get a 30 minute lecture on them being FBS.

Financially, it probably makes more sense for Idaho to play a road game at Montana versus playing a home game. ;-)

Interesting write up.

The key match up is the PSU coverage units vs WSU kick returners?

Sounds like they are not taking PSU seriously at all and are quite dismissive. Not a good idea for a team with a less than stellar record themselves last season. Could things be right for an upset?

Greetings from WSU.

This might be the year things finally turn around after the complete sideshow Mike Leach inherited in 2012 from Wulff.

Any questions let me know as if things fall right this could be a pretty decent football team.

Leach had a bunch of not ready from prime time players when he showed up in 2012. It really was a FCS team in the PAC 12.

A New DC should help a great deal as well, since no one is sure what the last one did the last 3 years and now he is Idaho's problem.

Not gonna lie I went to a practice when they were in Lewiston for training camp, this is finally looks a PAC 12 FB team and it took 4 recruiting classes to do it. The OL is huge and all 5 return starters. The 2 RB were RS freshman last year and they RS another who could have played. This is probably the most talented group of receives WSU has ever had. They are 13 deep and there is not a drop off.

If the new DC can at least slow people down this team could be fun to watch. The defense loaded up on top JC talent as well in the secondary and all of them are in the 2 deeps.

Anyone coming to the game, looks like the weather is going to cooperate.

Also the note about the WSU return game might be spot on. The 2 frosh WR(and they are in the 8 who will play) one who transferred from Clemson and was granted immediate eligibility and the other that had offers from everyone in the entire country, did not sign with WV and showed up in June out of the blue, are well...... freaks. Their speed and athletic ability is why they were 4 and 5 star recruits. I don't think it is a matter of if they take one back, but when they take one back.

If you want to see some people ask some really stupid questions about football as they must not read his articles tune in these are usually a good showing.

This is precious !

Wow...a circus huh? Well I'll be cheering the clowns on Saturday with real hope our elephants will leave a huge mess behind for them to clean up later this year...

Nothing would be sweeter than proving this guy wrong.

We are conveniently the current poster child for financial woes in the football department. Truth is almost every school in the Big Sky has at least one money game from the Pac-12 or Mountain West, even EWU who has been a strong national contender that last few years. All of us in the conference, not just PSU rely on these money games to get by.
