WSU game

I'm having confidence in Kuresa's ability to make smart plays.

Agree, but he still has to be prove he can throw the ball. He certainly can run and the OL isn't giving Kuresa much time to be able to throw. Plays like a mature player though.

Way to come out of the locker room with a great drive.

It'd be nice to see Penn fake the run and drop back to pass.

Barnum needs a new contract stat :D

I thought the Tribune was right, new AD should have given Barnum a 2 yr contract even before this game. Have only heard good things about Barnum from ex players and Viking fans. A real decent man and a very good coach. Go Viks!!!!!!!!!

Wow, what a game! A couple of random thoughts...

I can't believe that they went an entire FBS game without a single trick play. I heard Barnum say he was going to be more conservative with that, but I really didn't believe it, especially with so many guys who have played QB on the field at once. But, not a single flea flicker!

I didn't really know what to expect, but was pretty surprised at how run heavy the PSU offense was. Kuresa is really an elusive runner.

I had heard that Kinsella was punting well in camp, but wow, he averaged 46 yards a punt.

NO TURNOVERS!

Nothing would be sweeter than proving this guy wrong.

I understand that writers often simply pick up tidbits of information here and there to piece together an article. It also is not uncommon for writers with somewhat of an agenda (fan of some program) to display a bias which taints another program, especially when the other program is disadvantaged (smaller, fewer resources, weaker competition, etc.). Sometimes it takes a great deal of self restraint on our part not to rub his/her nose in the proverbial scat.

When an outcome of a contest such as this takes place you will seldom read from such pundits how the other team's game plan, skill sets, coaching adjustments, perseverance, or discipline changed the course of the game. It is always "we stunk it up" or "time to get rid of the bum (coach)".

I am not going to respond, after the fact, to this twit's comments. Just suffice it to say "The Circus Has Left Town", and $500,000 richer!
