VS the Bobcats...care to venture a guess? Some joker on ESPN online NCAAFB commented "could get ugly...Montana State 80- 0..." Me: NO WAY !!! But realistically, WILDCATS probably go 0-7 & lose by 2 TDs. :coffee:

Actually yes this game could get UGLY. Did you see what MSU did to UC-Davis in California? WSU will need the "O" to play a complete game with NO turnovers or else it will get ugly.

I've been watching MSU's games and Dakota Prukop is a fine, fine quarterback. A real threat both running and throwing. He will be very tough to contain. Prukop has been fun to watch, but it may be painful to watch this coming Saturday.

I guarantee that you will find your offense when you play our defense. No way in hell do you not score 30+ against us.

But you better be ready for a horse race if our offense starts clicking like it has been.

This will be another good measuring stick for Hill vs Sears. Weber has had its struggles with MSU for sure but the games that should have gotten ugly so far this year haven't. I like to think Weber will again put a competent team on the field and not be embarrassed like so many times the past few seasons.

Cats...always good of you to stop by. A group of us are heading north to watch the game and I'm pretty excited to go. I've been to basketball games in Bozeman, but never to a football game, so it should be an experience. Hoping for a good fought game. I don't envision Weber winning, but I do think the Wildcats will be able to keep it respectable against the Bobs. :thumb:

Hope you already have tickets or have made arrangements for tickets otherwise good luck as they are near sale out already. You will have a great time in Bozeman it is a great atmosphere and a great place to watch a game. Also Bobcat fans are usually more hospitable to visiting fans than those hicks in Missoula are.
BTW, thanks for the invite on this trip. Did my invite get lost in the mail or did you text the wrong number again? :?

Looking forward to the game! I know Weber hasn't won a game but you guys have been competitive, which is always a positive sign.

I'm waiting for someone to figure out how to stop our offense, but so far only UND has done that. We only scored 22 offensive points against them (had a pick six to make it 29). They really contained Prukop and sealed the edges. Granted it was 26-7 at halftime but we could only muster 3 after, so credit to UND for making some good adjustments.

You will have your highest offensive output of the season against us, and likely highest point total as well. I think to beat the Cats this season, you need to scored at least 35, but likely into the 40s. This assuming you limit our possessions and force a turnovers. We got for it on 4th down a lot as well so getting us to 4th down doesn't necessarily mean you've stopped us. We are very, very aggressive offensively.

Defenisvely, we are as aggressive as Missoula hippie. We just sit back and wait for the play to come to us. Our front cannot generate pressure, and we play 10 yards off the ball in the secondary. It doesn't matter if we bring 4 or 8, you'll pick up the blitz and hit the open guy.

We are a team that you can come back on if you get down a few scores, but often we force teams out of their gameplan and they simply start throwing against us. The problem is, this usually ends up being better for the other team and they start moving the chains and scoring points.

Long story short, most teams can keep up with us because our defense is playing pretty poorly, but all our defense has to do is force 1-2 punts, hold to a FG once or twice, and/or force a turnover or two and that is usually enough to win.

Glad to hear you will be in Bozeman, get there early enough to take in some of the tailgates, you will be welcomed most anywhere and offered food, drink and some good conversation.

As you can tell we are pretty excited bout our offense, when it gets going it may be as good as any you will see, but we are just as worried about our defense, I truly believe that we could beat any team and lose to any team depending on how the day goes. It makes it exciting and nerve wracking at the same time.

Wildcat Fans in or visiting Las Vegas:

Join Bobcat fans on Saturday, October 18, at Buffalo Wild Wings, 4280 S. Hualapai in southwest Las Vegas to watch the game.

Tell Nevadacat you saw this on your message board and he'll buy your first drink.

Game time is 2:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time.

From the outside looking in, and how the season has gone, so far, for Weber, one would automatically believe, rightfully so, that Weber doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning in Boozetown on Saturday. To be quite frank, I don't have much faith in Weber's potential of pulling out a W. However, as a fan, I tend to have delusional bouts of grandeur. Truly they are not drug or pill induced, I promise. After comparing stats of recently played games, I saw some hopeful signs. We all know that Weber's defense is getting better. Still need some serious discipline, the trick plays that directly beat the Cats last week, are a clear sign of that, but I still feel our defense is close to becoming something seriously scary and what is nice is that Weber is gaining some great experience with some of our starters being injured. We all know that our offense, if they don't shoot themselves in the foot can move the ball. Weber needs to find 5 healthy lineman, who can consistently block well on a pass rush, but our running game is only going to get better and when Billy is on, he is pretty damn dangerous. What I am saying, is that Weber probably can put a scare into the Bobs this weekend or even possibly come home with a W. Yes, the losses to SUU and Sac still sting and will for a while, but should have been Ws. 2 and 4 TOs are hard to overcome. If the Cats hold onto the ball and show up on defense (wear black pants this weekend) they will win.

What is great is knowing our team is really young and gaining great experience. On defense, Vince Coleman (transfer from Youngstown St. and will have a year of eligibility, maybe 2 starting next year), will replace Dustin Martin, We have three DT's who will, one out of the three, could replace Connor Myers. Taron Johnson is starting over Deontea' Florence (even though Florence has been injured) and has done an adequate job, got burned big time twice last weekend, but he will learn. Jawain Harrison and Mitch Tulane have both played a lot while Morris has been injured. Josh Burton, Emmett Tela, and Dre Snowden have been really impressive so far. We don't lose much, and I'm sure that the transfer pipeline will continue next season. Things are really starting to look up for the Wildcats. On offense, losing Kehano will be tough, but I'm sure the Cats will recruit some great WRs and we have a couple freshman who are really coming along. Bo is a giant loss, but Cordero can pick up his return game and there are a lot of highly athletic running backs in the program and more will be coming in. Finally, and most importantly, the line needs depth. Weber needs a couple of JC guys or transfers to help get us to 2016 when Weber has five highly touted OL recruits return from missions. Weber just needs a win! Once that happens the Cats will start rolling. Go Weber!!

Don't forget Alema Key and Helam Heimuli will both be back next year. They are both out for the year. I tend to think that the areas of greatest concern/need are on the line and trying to replace Kehano. As for Saturday, I'd like to see more passes to our RBs out of the back field and using our TEs more.

Glad some of you are making it to the game. Come a couple hours early so you can eat, drink and talk football at a few tailgate parties.

I would like to see Weber start to prepare for next year. The seniors who have earned playing time should play, but I would like to see as many reps for the underclassmen as possible. We are not going to any post season play. We have no chance at a championship. I say start loading up the reps for the underclassmen. Make the rest of the season as fun as you can. Pull out every trick play in the book. Gamble on both sides of the ball. Prepare like you always do, but prepare for more fun... and learning experiences for the younger guys. :thumb:

Here's my preview for the game.

Let me know what you guys think, and what you want to see more of. I know Weber State die-hards are few and far between, but I wanna give the people what they want (Jalen Rose voice)!

Yes, video contrast is horrible.
The fake punt was fun, but another slow start by Weber; they seem so tentative offensively. I wish Weber could handle the blitz better, teams aren't disguising it at all and it just seems to paralyze this O.

It took a quarter (again) but the offense is starting to look comfortable. The defense continues to overachieve despite giving up big plays too frequently. So many damn injuries-- stop already! Not as many penalties (yet)-- Wilcox could help them out in that regard.
