Why won't more students show up for home FB and BB games? They are FREE for he**'s sake. And what can we do to raise up more intrest among the student body to get more people to the games? What marketing ideas do you feel would work to bring more students in?
WSU IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF MORE STUDENTS WHO WILL COME TO GAMES!!

we need to mimic 1980 when the basketball team had one of hte highest attenace averages in the nation.

10,500 ave over 16 home games, that would be amazing, most big sky schools dont even hold 10,000 or even 5000 for that matter

Second, our teams need to consistently win. Finally, the students need to become fans. That happens when they have fun at the games and want to come back, but when they have no idea that there are games (i.e. marketing department incompetence) happen then how can they come.

Ya it's pretty sad what most students miss out on out of ignorance...if they were aware and came to a bball game they would be coming back. Some one get a megaphone on campus and explain a little WSU hoops history...they have no idea.

Many are also afraid to have fun...they follow the "commuter" herd! The real students which aren't a whole lot that moved to WSU are the ones that get all the benefits and get the college experience.

Lets get the students to the games when conference starts...we had some good student turn outs for the first 2 games but the last 2 were after school was out.

the pack the dee campaign that the purple pack did worked pretty well for the utah state game. Like you are all saying, people don't go to games if they don't know about them.

I think it would be a good idea to get the players a little more involved with things around campus. maybe some kind of "press conference" for students to ask questions and meet the team.

I feel that Davis has become one of the fan favorites at games, and i don't think it would take too much for a guy like that to become well known and visible on campus, too. The more students know and like the players on the team, the more likely they are to spend 0 dollars to go see them play.

What does Student Government really do?? Most of the "officers" and other minions only go to the big or really important games... Where are they?? Honestly, they could be doing a lot more than what they do; which is basically nothing. Oh well, thats a recurring theme at Weber State. "Somebody else can do it"
