No way in HELL am i going to pay $142 for my wife and I to go to this game with decent seats.
Guess this will be another WSU hoops game I watch for free from my couch this year.

This is a 3rd party site. They only have tickets in 3 sections. Who is the official ticket source for this game?

But I agree with you Larry. If this is official the price, no thank you. :tothehand:

The thing is I have looked on WSU's ticket website AND called the ticket office, so far they have NO CLUE as to anything about the BYU game at ESA. I refuse to call BYU or look at any website related to BYU sports. :twocents:

Thanks for making me do the dirty work fellas!! But it shows $10

Need to rename this topic to "WSU vs BYU Tickets @ Vivint Smart Home Arena." I'll probably boycott this game just because it's being played in an arena with the stupidest name ever. Please, for the love of humanity, never ever sell the name of the Dee Events Center. And thanks tal, after clicking on your link I keep getting banner ads from the BYU ticket office.

 Beyond sorry! But, at least we have a link giving us a price and a time. Something Weber has yet to do.

Is there anyway to choose our seats? I know its not sold out and its randomly generating me seats in sec 17 every time.
Id just like to see what is available! B Y U!!!! :wall:

If you are interested, this might be the best way to get lower bowl tickets.

I heard that BYU needed most of the lower bowl tickets for their season ticket holders. Must not be a neutral court game.

How do you know they are lower bowl?

If I remember correctly WSU as the away team is being paid by BYU and the cougars get the gate money minus the LHM fees.

why would the upper bowl even be available? no tarps?
My understanding is that this is a true road game in every sense---with the only difference being the venue. So just like the Marriott Center, ticket availability for the visiting team is upper level only. I would also expect the officiating to be what we are used to seeing in Provo as well as a prayer prior to starting line ups.

It is good to know that our basketball soul is worth $45,000. We totally sold out and got the shaft on this one. So BYU has tied up the best 15,000 seats of the 19,911 seats. Calling it neutral and giving us a one section block in the lower bowl. Plus knowing that the Wildcat club with its average age of 70+ is going to have seats in that section; they are going to be a noisy bunch. We might as well give our block to a bunch of mimes dressed in purple. Their students have multiple sections in the lower bowl. What about our students? Oh never mind we have a hard time getting them to walk across the street to the DEE Center.

I purchased two row 15 lower bowl tickets for $40 each off of a BYU fan. I really hope come to play and beat them on Saturday. I know it is not likely, but the whole scenario on this one ticks me off.

I could not agree more with this post. When I read this story it made me so damn mad, not at BYU but at our own athletic department. Have some damn balls and at least stand up for your own fans (you know the ones who lead the Big Sky in attendance every year) :twocents:

This is bull sh!t...
45k?
And I need to bring my binoculars for the game? Even if your in the Wildcat club the seats are still in the corners..
I think ill be watching this one from the couch on mute and KLO on the radio. Not paying BYU a dime.

I agree this is upsetting, but my guess is that this is likely the only way the BYU will ever play at the Dee from now on. The contract is essentially a 2 for 1. I apologize that I don't have the direct quote, but I remember just a few years ago, Dave Rose made a statement, after blowing out Weber again by what seemed like 100 points, that essentially stated he didn't see how playing Weber was really helping his team. I got to admit, he's right. Why play a team that you know you will beat, and will likely drop your RPI after beating them by 30?

I am in no way a BYU fan, but I have to respect them for at least playing in the Dee, even if this is the arrangement (unlike the other team south of us). I also say good for Weber in making them pay for a 2 for 1 deal. But you have to figure that it makes little fiscal sense for BYU to play Weber in a 2 for 1 scenario, pay them 45k for the second game, and then give them a bunch of premium tickets that likely won't be used. Our biggest problem is that it's not the 1970's anymore...

I'm happy to take BYU's money and hopefully we can escape with a win. I am surprised they are even opening the upper deck... Saturday afternoon, early season, neutral site... I am expecting about 10,000 fans. People are still drunk on football this time of year.

Super lame that they are sticking Weber fans in the upper deck but what can you do... At least BYU still plays us!!! I have respect for USU and BYU for scheduling us year in and year out. Utah on the other hand would rather schedule cellar dweller big sky teams at home and ignore us. No respect for the Utes basketball program. I really wish everyone still participated in the "Old Oquirrh Bucket." Apart from March Madness, college basketball seems to be losing excitement and fans here locally.

I disagree. BYU has no problem bringing in Mississippi Valley State rated 349 out of 351. It's all about the broadcast rights to the game. They play much worse games than Weber every year. They just don't have home and homes. I assume that we would not concede to a 2 for 1. But they wanted a 2 for 1 broadcast and for the "neutral game" to count in their ticket package.

The big problem to me is the disparity of ticket distribution. Why not give us a window to pre-sale an allotment of good tickets, and then make them available to cougar fans if we don't meet our allotment? The Cougar season ticket holder I bought my tickets from was able to buy up to 8 tickets in the lower bowl. I am pretty sure he only has two regular season tickets. That is the problem. They can buy multiple good tickets while nothing is available for us.

Look at it from this stand point. If BYU wins they beat a good Weber team on a "neutral" court. That may hold more value with the selection committee than a home win. We all know that this is as close of a home game as you can have.

Plus shouldn't Bovee be able to use his church calling as Bishop to get us a little better deal?
