WSU vs. USU [Predictions]

Usu 42
Wsu 30

Utah St offense will be much better than Wyo. Defense? Hopefully similar. We did not struggle to move the ball in Laramie and Wyo always has good defense.

Hi Wildcats!

Great job on the close game vs. Wyoming over the weekend. I hope to see a lot of you come up to Romney stadium to support your team this Saturday vs. USU. I see a lot of value in USU playing Utah teams yearly including Weber State.

Good luck this season!

this is a rare opportunity playing usu as well having an ooc game less than 1 hr drive. for those deciding to go as an fyi, we have only played utah st in football 1 time since 1984. go to the game, support our cats! should be a fun game. wsu section is $35 (lower deck) great seats, ga is $19, reserved upper is $24. not a bad fee for a short road trip to see a game in front of a packed house.

both teams coming off heart breaking, fan aching, losses. our team will be pumped for this game, playing up again and against what appears to be a good usu team and our last shot at an fbs win. my guess is 21,000+ will be at the game, that is a big crowd to play in front of. the team should be ready.

im hoping for another close one like we saw this past saturday.

no score prediction just hoping to have it be a game in the 4th quarter.

weber state always plays good in fbs games. only one in these past 4 seasons was a blow out, i know we are 0-7 in those games but we had chances in most of them and still werent' detroyed in any of them but texas tech.

2011: L wyo 35-32 (blocked extra pt and failed 2 pt'r)
2010: L texas tech 64-21(they were 8-5 with a bowl game)
2010: L boston college 38-20 (they were 7-6 with a bowl game)
2009: L wyo 29-22 (we threw 5 interceptions, wyo wnt to a bowl game)
2009: L colorado state 24-23 (missed extra point in 2nd quarter. csu beat nevada & colorado)
2008: L utah 37-21 (utah finshed #2 in ap poll, utes beat usu 58-10 in logan)
2008: L hawaii 36-17 (we were up 17-7 halftime, ouch. hawaii was 7-7 and went to a bowl)

I bought my tickets today. I think USU will win but I think it will be a better game then expected. Utah State 40 Weber State 30.

I would hope that USU has the same feeling as their fans and think they're going to "crush" poor Weber State. Totally forgetting 550 yards of offense against Wyoming would be a huge mistake. I'm not going to make a prediction but the game will not be decided until the 4th quarter. I'm impressed with the improvements with USU, but I also recognized that Auburn looked far removed from Cam Newton and company. I don't think Auburn will go to a bowl this year.

USU has played thier "Up" games pretty well the last few years and then went into the rest of thier season at mediocre at best, I do think the Aggies are better than Wyoming, just how much better I dont know. This game will be closer than the Aggie faithful think it will be. +500 yards against a Mountain West 1st team is nothing to take lightly.

Aggs-38
Wildcats-28

The Wyoming Cowpie fans all talked about how they were gonna hang 50 on us and blow us out. I hope Utah State is saying the same things.

No matter how much purple Powerade I drink, I can't justify picking WSU in this one. It will be close but poor play calling will again be WSU's demise.
I sure hope Im wrong

USU 42
WSU 35

The last 2 years USU has played thier BCS opponents to the wire only to follow up with a 4-8 overall record.
2010-@ Oklahoma- L 31-24
2009-@ Texas A&M- L 38-30

Who's to say that USU wont do it again? Here they are again almost beating another BCS team, well im not convinced that USU is as great as the aggie faithful claim they are, but all will be revealed on Saturday.

And one more thing, Weber State is a lot better than Idaho State and Southern Utah.

Week 1 Auburn, Week 2 Weber State, the final scores will tell nothing of this USU team. The following 4 weeks will define what type of team they will be. Weber St in 2008 comes to mind. We destroyed Northeastern Community College of the Ozarks in Week 1 then in Week 2 we played a "good" game against Hawaii and probably should have won. After that no one was sure what type of team we would be. No one knew what that team was about until the 6th game. After Weber, USU has CSU, Wyo, BYU and Fresno. Win those games and I will believe this is a new era of USU football. Beating us would not mean they are going to win 9 games. Is this their 2008?

WSU 44, USU 43
