I've always thought that this poll is a joke. UM only falls 5 spots after being beaten by an unranked team. Meanwhile, the unranked team that beat them only comes in at #17. Also, how the hell does James Madison beat Va Tech and not get the #1 ranking? But fortunately, the champ of FCS isn't decided by a poll, it's decided on the field.

Thanks. Here's to a great game on Saturday.

I posted this computer ranking last week some didn't like it but it is far more realistic than the coaches poll.

The only poll I care about is the one from the NCAA Div. I Football Committee come the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The one where we could get an invite or not.

Sagarin's Ratings are fairly similar to the computer rankings when you pull out the FBS teams, but I think they are even more accurate. James Madison is the #1 FCS team and all the way up to 33rd in the nation, which may be a stretch tho. I don't think I've ever seen an FCS team rated that high.

Cal Poly is #8 and 84th.
Montana is #16 and 117th.
Weber St is #18.
NAU is 19.
EWU is 22nd.
Mt St is 28th, then
Sac St at 31 and 145th.
Davis is way down at 69th and 188th.

Not a single vote in the TSN poll, but they pick us to upset Weber... Hahahaha

NO. 21 WEBER STATE (1-1, 1-0 Big Sky) at SACRAMENTO STATE (1-1, 0-0 Big Sky)

Kickoff: 9:05 p.m.

Series record: Weber State leads, 8-6

What to know: Sacramento State has had its fill of Weber State quarterback Cameron Higgins, who has completed 68.7 percent of his passes for 915 yards and 13 touchdowns without throwing an interception in the last three meetings between the schools.

The point of emphasis with the Wildcats is ball possession. They have lost eight fumbles and Higgins has thrown for one interception.

Wildcats senior Mike Phillips leads the Big Sky in receptions (17) and receiving yards (230).

Sac State strong safety Zach Schrader will keep a close eye on Higgins. Offensively for the Hornets, Jeff Fleming became the starting quarterback last Saturday, but he's facing a tougher opponent than Western Oregon. The Hornets will try to establish the run game with junior Bryan Hilliard.

Prediction: Sacramento State, 31-28
