I'm in Denver and I'm getting the f-ing Iowa game, who's the moron that programed this to Denver?

Well, that just blew a hole in my morning...

Yeah that's what happened to me and I called Comcast and emailed Big Ten Network but nobody could tell me anything.

I thought about doing that and though, call Comcast???? Anytime I've ever tried to contact them about anything they never understand and treat you like you're a moron... which I probably am but still.

I wish I had someone to blame though it was disapointing we travel out there and can't even leverage their network to get the game on out here, someone shit the bed and I'd have thought the SID would have been on top of that but apparently we're asleep at the wheel in the athletic department. :(

Geez, you've got it bad for the sports info department, don't you? Saturday's issue would be one strictly between Comcast and the BTN. Someone there didn't talk to each other, apparently. Judging from my issues with Comcast, I'd say they blew it.

Agreed, can't blame UNC on this one.

Yo, Blofeld would have to agree that it would be the Sports Information Department responsibilty to be on top of that. It seems to me that is "sports information" or "media". The Trib had said it would be on at 10 AM. It may have been rebroadcast later but after listening (thanks BearsRadio good job ) to it did not really want to watch.

Thanks for the compliment. Tough game to cover for various reasons...

As for the Big 10 Network deal, the network splits apart its coverage, much like what ABC does with its Saturday regional broadcasts. That means someone didn't make the correct switches to get the UNC game on here. It would be like someone forgetting to switch the various CBS feeds to get a Broncos game on a Sunday, which I've seen happen before...until the phone calls to Ch. 4 wake them up.

Instead, it appears Comcast just stayed with the main B10 Network broadcast rather than switch to the UNC game. No one around either program--UNC or Michigan State--had any inkling about how it was being parcelled out by the Big 10 Network. In fact, Michigan State's notes reflect the same thing UNC's did: TV: Big Ten Network.

Similar reflection in the Big 10's own media notes:

Well the reason I called out the athletic department is because when we played at Purdue 2 years ago someone from the athletic department posted on here that they originally had not schduled to show that game in Colorado and the athletic department coordinated a switch to the UNC game.

Not sure what happened here but the whole "the guy forgot to flip the switch" excuse it Pathetic and notice I capitalized the "P" in pathetic.

Blo, the folks in Michigan State's own athletic department couldn't even tell me on Saturday what channel the game would be on in the press box.

Now that's sad. You should have put it on the TV Land marathon of the Andy Griffith Show during the game.

What channel is this weeks game on?

It's not on TV, so get down to Nottingham or turn on Troy on KFKA.

Will have the game online using the KFKA audio feed.
