Yahoo: Dr. Hill 4 team tourney at ESA??

That was by far the least entertaining Weber State game I have ever attended. WAY too many foul calls on both sides. All the Ute fans sitting in front of me were getting fed up with it too. It felt like that game lasted four hours.

I was at the Ute game last year, and saw Casas come over and tell Coach Rahe to stop complaining about the lack of calls ( wasn't this the game where the Cats were 36 of 40 from the charity stripe, while the Utes shot 40 of 45?) Threatened to T him up.

Same as at Oregon, I think the refs get stars in their eyes being in a non-Sky game and it changes their view.

utah attempted 45, correct. i think it was a utah record attempts in the huntsman.
weber attempted 30

maybe jimmy casas is just a big utes fan.

We all know he isn't a Weber State fan.

i have never seen a game that long or boring. it was longer than the 4 overtimes in poca.

i think when a game ends and there are almost 60 fouls the fans should get a refund. :twocents:

Calling too many fouls in the only way an unathletic team can beat the superiorly athletic teams. The refs had to do it or else Utah would have never won. Utah scoring more than 50 points obviously means the game was rigged.

My friend who is a Ute fan went to the game and told me he was shocked by the amount of fouls

The NCAA could do a great deal to level the scheduling situation, if they wanted to. They have shyed away from doing anything because they are afraid of the "Money" conference's threats of leaving the NCAA and forming their own association. Would it hurt the NCAA if they left? Yes. Would it kill the NCAA if they did? NO. I say, let 'em go. Let them continue paying their athletes, bribing officials, and acting like they are just too good for everyone else. They could call themselves the NBTMA, the National Big Time Money Association. At least the name would fit. Seriously, they don't want to play anyone, and the only reason anyone wants to play them is for a payday. Let them run a semipro league, they do it anyway. Now Utah is one of them, let 'em go. I really don't have a problem with it. :twocents:

:twocents: is all I've got!!!
