On to tournament

Good game tonight. How about our freshman Hansen, 22 points! Too bad about Rieley fouling out. Who are we playing in the tournament?

Re: Sidney Rielly

Hey, Bartcossa3, welcome to the Viking board! Nice to have another voice for the women. It's the only team we've got in first placed in conference - it's a great team to follow, but especially a great team to watch! You're right, we'll miss Sidney next year, but there are a couple sophomores ready to...

A little more meaningful - this week we're 22 on the Mid Major. UNC has dropped off.

Re: Montana State/Montana

We won both games in ways unexpected. Still not sure just how good we are, but certainly we have potential.

Re: UC-Irvine

They beat Portland by around ten points. Portland stayed even with them up to the last ten minutes then fell slowly but steadily back. They have two good shooters, the rest average.

Re: UNLV

A game of turn overs, steals and rebounds. So-so shooting. Somehow we won, in probably the lowest scoring game of the season. Life will change next week, however, with Irvine!

Re: Grand Canyon

For what it's worth, our women's team is listed now as #29 on the Mid-Major standing, just outside the top 25 list.

Re: Grand Canyon

We just scraped by GCU tonight. Don't know what went wrong. GCU defense was good. We didn't hit threes. We were bailed out by perfect 100% free throws. Kylie was the only one to hit threes. Too many turnovers..
We'll have to do much better if we want to beat UNLV.

How did Weber beat them? It will be impressive if we do.

Re: Grand Canyon

I don't imagine we'll let up. It's early days and I'd guess the team knows it. Points worth noting - the inevitable happened, they tried to focus on Bolston and Reilley, leaving the floor free for Kylie. She hit 21. And- we have the depth to wear out the other team. They all slow down in the fourth q...

Re: UTEP

We have a couple "foreigners" too, notably from Spain. They have Spaniards too. Teams with ambition recruit the world. But I think we'll win against UTEP.

Re: 2019 Observations

Hey, Teamholt - Having you here on the board has meant that I now pay attention to safeties, looking for your son to move up and pull off some picks. I hope that 2019 is his year. I'll be rooting.

Re: San Jose State

San Jose turned out to be not so much of a challenge after all. We have to learn how to deal with large leads. In the third quarter we dropped from 40 to 20 point leads.Careless passing, lots of turnovers. Nice to see Bolston and Rielly back hitting the nets.

Re: Northern Colorado

In the first half they handed it to us, with blocked punts, interceptions, sacks and TFLs. But how much of this was our defense schemes? And what happened in the fourth quarter? Second stringers? But Alexander was in to the end. It was an easy game to watch. I don''t reckon we'll have any more like ...

Re: 2018 Season chances of winning

Kicking this year offers a little more promise - Kennedy has a year under his belt and should do better. Williams is a freshman but looked very good in fall practice. But they're both young. Don't know about punting.

Looks like Koetter can catch. We may get a trick play out of this. We have more than enough QBs, with three more freshmen added late.

Re: On campus

Thanks, Team. I agree with you on the redshirt policy. As for newcomers I'm watching Danny Velasquez, Soph transfer QB. A little larger than Alexander, and he can run. Throws a long ball accurately. A drawback may be interceptions.

Re: On campus

I'd think that the poor vikings have their share of Safeties; he'll probably red shirt. He sounds good but young. What do you think, Teamholt? Aren't you familiar with the Sacramento area?
