Re: Northern Colorado

In the first half they handed it to us, with blocked punts, interceptions, sacks and TFLs. But how much of this was our defense schemes? And what happened in the fourth quarter? Second stringers? But Alexander was in to the end. It was an easy game to watch. I don''t reckon we'll have any more like ...

Re: 2018 Season chances of winning

Kicking this year offers a little more promise - Kennedy has a year under his belt and should do better. Williams is a freshman but looked very good in fall practice. But they're both young. Don't know about punting.

Re: Fall camp

Looks like Koetter can catch. We may get a trick play out of this. We have more than enough QBs, with three more freshmen added late.

Re: On campus

Thanks, Team. I agree with you on the redshirt policy. As for newcomers I'm watching Danny Velasquez, Soph transfer QB. A little larger than Alexander, and he can run. Throws a long ball accurately. A drawback may be interceptions.

Re: On campus

I'd think that the poor vikings have their share of Safeties; he'll probably red shirt. He sounds good but young. What do you think, Teamholt? Aren't you familiar with the Sacramento area?

Re: 2019 Recruiting Thread

He might have meant transfer Danny Velasquez, a look-like who runs better.

2018-20 season looking promising

The roster is now complete, and it looks very good! We should be ranked in the top three.

Re: Big Sky women's basketball tournament

EWU's 3s nearly did us in - our 3s seem to have disappeared. We have a reasonable chance against Idaho. Now let's see if our men can beat EWU also.

Tucker's back and shooting. Is he finally going to be a frequent flyer?

Re: Cal Bears

Just goes to show, the worst teams of the Pac-12 (Stanford and Cal) aren't quite as good as the best of the Big Sky. It also shows that in order to get a decent story on PSU's games, you have to go to the towns of their opponents. The best the O could do is use a short AP release.

Re: Ole Miss

Bolston's back, and it makes all the difference. With both Bolston and Reilly, we should do well in conference play.

Re: Cal Bears

Cal has 3 seniors and the rest nearly all freshmen. Inconsistency? One of the seniors is 7'1" to match ours.. I agree, it's going to be an interesting game.

Re: Oregon state game

Actually, Ken Goe's column in the Olive was mostly positive comments about PSU players and the team as a whole. And,of course, pistol-whipping OSU.

Volleyball 2017

The vagaries of early non-conference games - yesterday we lost to San Diego State in three sets, then came back and beat Eastern Kentucky - who had beaten SDS in an earlier match - by the same amount. In the last set against EKU we held them to 7 points, a rarity. Webb, the freshman OH, proved her "...

women start season with wins

Our women opened PSU Athletics 2017 with wins. In soccer, Forsee put in the game-winning goal in overtime to beat Nevada 1-0, while volleyball took down Northridge 3 sets to 1 down in San Diego. In the latter, Bettenay and Mullen did their usual kills, while Sych put up 12 blocks - impressive! and t...

Re: QB competition

So Eason got the job. Should be an interesting season. A true freshman, no less. No collegiate experience, but judging by his scrimmage work, we should win more than a few games.

Smith didn't play in the first scrimmage either. You're probably right, he hasn't had time to get the system down.

QB competition

After today's scrimmage I'd guess Kraght will be the starting QB. Too much experience to ignore. Will Jilani get the call for backup? He looked better than Alexander today. Or do we redshirt him?

Re: Big Sky Kickoff - Skyline Sports

He highlighted Crecelius on the offensive team. But in general, Colter is the small-time equivalent of our Oregonian, covering only UO/OSU and the Pac-12; he covers MU/MSU and then the other "mountain" teams. The West Coast teams come in last. When we get back in the playoff crowd he'll pay more att...
