Re: Houston Barnes

Anyone else hearing that he is back on campus and back on the team? I've been hearing rumors... Don't know the answer to your question, but I thought he should have another year of eligibility. Seems to me he sat out first year at Portland St. and played last year. I thought both Gunt and Barnes we...

Re: Couple more players transferring out

Two more JC players transferring out, F Robert McCoy (who has already resigned with Concordia-Irvine)and G/F Juwan Williams. Should we be concerned or is this how College basketball operates now? It is how college basketball operates (actually has been for awhile, people are just now realizing it),...

Sorry you don't think you can support us. Makes me wonder why you are still here. I'll save you a seat on the bandwagon when we make the playoffs this year. :thumb: Well, it is so good to know the Vikings will make the playoffs this year, and from your previous post, that a new downtown stadium for...

Re: Big Sky chooses new basketball tournament location

I have been told a story with, naturally, no way to verify this. I'm guessing it's true, as it seems to make sense. I bring this up mostly to look out for "next time." Plus, with UM Kansas City leaving the WAC, you might want to keep an eye out once a month. The WAC had considered taking their conf...

Re: Bruce Barnum

Have you seen a billboard anywhere in Oregon advertising Portland State football? Well, I haven't seen one yet this year. Last year I saw one at I-405 and the Sunset (which is on campus), one out in Hillsboro, and one on 82nd by PDX. All three listed our home games and made mention that we were pla...

Re: Bruce Barnum

Viking football got kicked out of publically owned stadium in down town Portland when the City turned it over to Merritt Paulson. To my knowledge no one even objected to the dismissal. So now we play football at a venue twenty miles from campus, with no public transit connection. In our “home” open...

Re: Bruce Barnum

It's a loaded question. Ask the football coach and AD whose teams are playing 20 miles away if they would like the opportunity to play on campus, what kind of answer would you expect? Anything less than "I'm all for it" and I too, would be questioning the current state of the program. Both Barnum an...
