AB doesnt put a huge emphasis on recruiting defensive tackles for some reason. He's more focused on recruiting offensive lineman and tight ends. My friend in Seattle in Seattle was on Don James 1984-85(they finished second behind byu) team and this was his observation on ewu football.

He said that when BB was coaching that he was super impressed with the offensive schemes that EWU ran. He thought BB was ahead of his time offensively at the FCS level. He even went so far as to say that if EWU would have had a good defensive line that EWU could have possibly added a couple more national championships. He said that Don James always recruited good defensive lineman first, because he felt that they created havoc giving the linebackers and the defensive secondary more time to adjust and react. It makes total sense as in 1984 and 1991 both of these teams had really great defensive lines and were in national contention.
 
Dtackles are the hardest single position to recruit other than a star QB. The South seem to be where the best come from and in-state the few good ones go FBS. Portal Dtackles go to big schools. Hope we can find one somehow.

Being able to get pressure with just rushing 3 or 4 lineman and dropping the rest back into coverage is like a football cheat code. Anyone who watched last years super bowl could see that, Chiefs offense couldn't do shit. Its why the current Seahawks defense is so good.

It's why losing Eti Ena was a big loss. I feel like he had the hook up in for those south pacific Samoan type dudes.
