Surprised they won in Moscow. Turned around with an all too familiar crappy start and got their butts handed to them in Cheney. Contract extension really paying off. Wonder what excuses on the Rolodex will be used for this one.

Again, dust was outcoached. At least it was by a guy with tons of experience, lol! Our coach has no ability to adjust his attack or defense to what the other offense is throwing at him. Usually can do ok at that during halftime break but absolutely fails at it in-game. And it cost victories. A 21 point lead in the first 5 or 6 minutes of the game is inexcusable. Duft just kept doing the same thing when he needed to change things up to get his team motivated to make a greater effort and confuse the opponents offense, throwing them off-rhythm and stopping their run.

Frankly, I find it embarrassing... he learned from Rahe who had the same problem. When I complained to the AD about that issue with Rahe, he just said: If you don't like it don't watch!

Well, seeing attendance is routinely below 2,000. I think many don’t like it and have decided not to watch. Even if they make a coaching move down the road, can they even bring in a talented coach who will be able to bring fans back?

Win consistently and fans will come back. Are we winning consistently with Duft?? No so find someone new and see how it goes. New energy is needed

2025-26 DI Record: 11-13. 5 games to go (could be more if the team wins at the tournament). So far, what has changed?

I do want to see the kids win out, but I don't see it happening. I feel the team might have 2 more wins maybe 3.

Weber's record is: 2 wins against non-D1 opponents
11 wins against D1 opponents
14 losses against D1 opponents.
I also hope, but don't believe, that they will win-out in the remaining 4 regular season games. I see them going 2-2. Maybe one win at the Montana's and loss to Portland State at home.
As I said before, if Weber wants to be more than an average lower level D! team they will have to find a better coach. But not holding my breath that they will give up on Duft. probably won't win more than one game in the conference playoffs. I think there is as much talent on this team as anyone else in the big sky. But in close games Duft will get out-coached and their opponent will pull it out with better coaching in the last 5 minutes. Far more likely that the games after the first one will not be close because Duft will get out-coached throughout the game. He is just not as good at in-game adjustments as his opposing coaches are.

First off, the Montana games are here at WSU and then plays AT Portland. IF WSU gets lucky they will go 2-2 to finish with a win at home against one of the Montana's and hopefully a road win at ISU.

I feel we split this week and lose both next week. Most likely bounced 1st round at the tournament.
I think we lose out and are bounced in first round. Probably will be more fan support for visiting Montana teams and the Wildcats have struggled at home more in my opinion than on the road with road wins and home losses to Idaho and Northern Colorado off the top of my head.

Wins are tough to come by in Pocatello and Portland State will be an almost for sure loss. I think that tailspin will be too tough to win a first round game and we will get the inevitable excuses of injuries or inexperienced young team.

Hope I’m wrong.

I have often complained about Duft lack of coaching ability but I also want to congratulate him on a job well done against Montana State last night. He got the boys up for this game, they played hard the whole game and when the game was on the line they kept coming at the Bobcats to pull out a win. This type of effort has not been shown consistently. Usually they will perform well in one game and the second game they fold. Let's hope that they don't repeat this against Montana on Saturday. Compliments to Duft for his role in securing the victory.

A big steaming bowl of shut the hell up soup for me! Mmm mmm good!

Keep serving it up Wildcats!

And yes, hats off to Duft and crew. Keep it up. No slow start vs Montana!

Not to be negative Nancy here but if the trend continues after a big win like this we’ll lay an absolute egg on Saturday. Prove me wrong Coach. I’m not satisfied with a 5th place finish.

No totally hear you. I do have to give credit that they hung tough and pulled out a win. To really get me believing they need to take care of business at home and aim for at least a split on the road.

The expectations of winning championships are over for now until they actually give a crap and promote athletics and make coaching moves when necessary…and that is sad for such a storied basketball program. I used to get really into it, but how can you get into it if the University leadership and AD don’t really get into it? Plus, I’m starting to get priced out for the value it brings.

I honestly can’t bring myself to watch FBS football anymore. When you think of teenagers getting ridiculous money to play while people who are the pillars of society are screwed over financially, it’s just something I really don’t care to support anymore. I’m sure FCS will get to the level of pricing regular people like myself from even going to a game eventually. Just kind of sad how much money has ruined college athletics.
