Where did everybody go on this site? Used to be some pretty good conversation over here.

Anyway, at times you guys have looked good this year definitely improved over last year. What are your expectations on Montana State comes to town?

Cats will win by at least 30 points. Best has run this once elite program into the ground and most of us are happily anticipating a new staff.

Well, we're on our worst losing streak of seasons in the history of the program.

As for this year's team, we're a decent first half team that likes to find creative ways of losing in the second half.

Exactly. We like to start off strong and then for some reason (coaching) completely fall off the rails in the second. There's not much for MSU to be worried about in this game.

Well, they certainly look dangerous at times maybe just inconsistent?
The offense has its moments. The main problem with that unit has been injuries. What should have been our top 3 receivers going into the season have missed most, if not all, of the season. Same thing at running back to some extent and as has been mentioned already, we struggle to run the ball. The offensive line started the season off well, but seems to have regressed some also due to injuries. The one somewhat surprising bright spot has been Qb play. I think Bell has for the most part played pretty well this year given all of the challenges he's had with the supporting cast.

Defensively, we're a mess. We lost our top LB the second game of the season and have various injuries in the secondary as well. Against UNC, we were without both of our starting safeties. Outside of the first couple of games, they've really struggled against the run, so I expect MSU to do that all game long.

We are just getting some people back off of our too deep, including some starters. But I don’t know if they are 100% the number twos on offense have been playing fairly well. We are thin at some defensive positions as well as inexperienced and inconsistent at some others. I like your quarterback he is mobile and dangerous.
I am hoping we get back on track. It should be a good game in Cheney.

This. We will probably score some points, and Bell can be fun to watch at times, but I don't think the defense is strong enough to slow down MSU.

I think Montana State will put a spotter on Bell like last year when they scored a whole 3 points. They'll probably score more though, maybe 10. Bell is basically nothing if he can't run.

I don’t see this game being close. We managed to nearly blow a 28-6 halftime lead to UNC. At home. Add in two more firsts of losing at home to Cal Poly and on the road at UC Davis and we’re setting records in all the wrong ways!

Best looks completely lost and defeated on the sideline. If he had any self respect for himself or the program, he’d resign for the benefit of all involved.

Bell is a good athlete but not a leader and not a winning program QB. The team is once again riddled with injuries and we’re likely headed for an offseason of massive transfers and hopefully a new direction in coaching staff.

Cats roll 48-16.

I totally agree. At this point, its just ego. For a program he ostensibly loves, he sure doesn't mind making it irrelevant and possibly destroying it. Ticket sales and donations have to be down.

There are kids who started in 2022 at Eastern and will graduate this spring having not know a winning season. Shit under Baldwin a 7 win season was considered a down year.

Beau Bladwin had a standard. Coach Best just trots onto the field and hopes his team can win by some miraculous way. We are just plain terrible., its a wonder he can get even get real talent to come to EWU.
