Cal Poly Hates Its School Colors and Bans People Who Say They Should Be Worn

Was blocked yesterday on Twitter for saying Cal Poly should we Green and Gold uniforms. In case you didn't know, those are the school colors.

LMAO! How is this even possible? No warning, just blocked when I commented that I hoped the team would wear Green and Gold and not white and green.

Can anybody think of any other team in the country where you get banned if you ask the athletics department to wear the actual school colors? Can you imagine JMU fans being banned for saying their team should wear Purple and Gold? That's basically what just happened here.. It just so ridiculous and such a strange thing to do.

It's like a strange "invasion of the Body Snatchers" scenario around Cal Poly- A few years ago they changed the school crest to something that looks completely out of the USSR- check it out for yourself it has like a hammer and sickle look to it.. then they started going after the school colors trying to change them to white and green..

The really creepy part is, if you suggest they actually wear the school colors they will literally ban you off their social media.. try it..

This program is run by some of the biggest boneheads in the entire country. They have everything handed to them on a plate and consistently do every single thing wrong.

Pretty sad. It seems that branding standards are not standards at all anymore.

Yeah, it is sad.

Things are pretty good though in Cal Poly Football Land in general though, I mean they could be better, but a very entertaining season so far, and usually coming out on the winning end.

I think the team looks better than I thought they would be. I would do some things differently offensive playcall wise, but they look pretty good.

What is encouraging is how full the stadium has been supporting the new staff. It has been more full than in many years, which has been nice.

As you know GoPoly, I am a stadium nerd, so that's what gets me going.. stadium stuff and full stadiums and stuff.. not half-full stadiums (aka LSS or limp stadium syndrome).

One minor gameday gripe I have though is: Would like to hear the return of the "horse-whinny sound" after a Cal Poly 1st down. Noticed they got rid of that, should bring it back. Maybe increase the volume on that puppy. Also, could correspond with the giant animatronic Mustang blowing smoke from its nostrils.

Agree the team is performing at a higher level this year vs the past 10. Let’s hope it keeps getting better. The Skipper seems to “have” the locker room, so to speak. The team seems to be all in!

Agreed re the “horse-whinny”. I always liked that, especially when we attended games.
