Admin adjusted the board settings which should eliminate the spam. First time posters won't have their initial post shown until verified/approved by a moderator.

Spam Issues

Loads of spam bots lately, they are being deleted as fast as they pop up. The board admin has been notified of the issue. There was a spam blocker that was in use but that created the login issues so it was taken out of use.

Re: 2019 Schedule

Should be a brutal season. It's going to take a few years for Taylor and his staff to turnover the roster. Hard to see more than 2 wins this season, anything above that is house money imo. That said, I'm still looking forward to this season. Man, we Hornets fans sure are beaten down. TWO wins? Shak...

My son left this morning for Sacramento with a few days stopover in Mt. Shasta to visit the girlfriend. We're very excited for him becoming part of the Hornet family!
Congrats and good luck to you and your son this season. :thumb:

Re: Coach Christiansen Signs New 7-Year Contract

No-brainer move. Glad to see Orr make this move and Coach C wanting to stay here longer (or at least until his dream job opens up). No doubt this extension was in response to other programs taking up interest in Christiansen. Look like there are some staff shake-ups to go along with this extension a...

Re: Troy Taylor Named Head Coach

No Genius, Troy is not a Sac State alum...and either is Orr...but they are both Sacramento guys. So, you stating redundantly that the administration needed to do a "national search" was more than a bit ridiculous. As were your predictions as to how much money they were going to pay the next head co...

Re: 2019 Baseball

Baseball season comes to an end in the Stanford Regional and the Hornets finish with a 40-25 (18-9) record. Hornets went 7-1 in elimination games this post season and won their first Regional game since 2014. Scrappy and resilient team, most of whom will return next season. Hell of a run, hell of a ...

Re: Troy Taylor Named Head Coach

Taylor isn't a Hornet alum, so no he's not one of your guys as that doesn't fit your "hire a Hornet alum" narrative that you always push when hiring discussions take place. I've never claimed that I could run the AD better than those currently in place so not sure where you're getting that from. How...

Re: 2019 Baseball

How did we have two straight games with exactly the same score? That's way cool.... I think the impressive part is that Hornet pitching never gave up more than 4 runs in a game, especially considering that there were back to back days with a doubleheader. Hornets are heading to the Stanford Regiona...

Re: Troy Taylor Named Head Coach

Funny to see that you're still butthurt about one of your guys not getting the HC job.

Also funny to see that you still haven't learned how to use the quote function after all these years on this board.

Re: Troy Taylor Named Head Coach

I’m not going to rehash the Sears saga, but feel free to read up on it again if you’d like. Troy Taylor is our HC now and a well-qualified staff has been brought on board. I'm looking forward to what the future holds for this program under Taylor.

Re: Troy Taylor Named Head Coach

I have no clue where Sears is. There's an archived blurb for Sperbeck as a VP at Carmichael-Jesuit HS, but it's not dated; I can't tell if it was before or after his time at Sac. In any event, he's no longer there. He's set to collect another $180k from Sac State so not sure why he would be doing a...

Re: 2019 Baseball

Hornets lose the opening round game to UVU then go on a historic tear and win 6 straight and eliminate every single team in the tournament. Something this epic will likely never happen again. Hornets are the 2019 WAC Tournament Champs!!! :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: Wednesday, 5/22: 4-2 loss ...

Re: Dixie State to BSC Inevitable?

Pass on Dixie State (Hornets have already inked a home and home FB deal), but I admit they would be an ideal addition for the BSC given their past additions.

It would be great if an FCS FB only conference out west was formed.

Re: Troy Taylor Named Head Coach

Sac State Magazine ran a front cover article on Taylor and the FB program (digital link not available yet, good infographics included in the hard copy). Taylor was signed for 7 years with a base salary of $242k. It didn't mention any of the coaching staff salaries. Based on the quotes from Nelsen an...
