That's probably for his football talents. He's one of the two stars on the basketball team along with Mike Moser, but he could probably start for PSU as a freshman in basketball and football. He could probably do track too, like Jordan Senn and Kenneth Mackins.---I don't think he'll actually come to PSU unless it's for football, but it's worth a shot.

The Waters pickup is big if he can revert to his form of old. Plus this may open the door for the future stars currently at Grant. (McCoy, Moser)

DW is coming to PSU!!!!

Congrats on landing D-Dub! He's a combo guard that can really shoot the ball! I would have expected him to have a breakout season here at Hawaii next season. A lot of you guys probably already know about him so you know you're getting a good player. He'll have to sit out a year but will be eligible to play during the '08-'09 season!

As excited as I am for football, these two recent transfers for the Men's b-ball have also given me renewed ethusiasm for Bone and his crew. /users/31/07/37/smiles/smily40.gif

I'm intrigued by this story. Hopefully he hasn't become too rusty with a year away from competitive ball.

DW is coming to PSU!!!!

I wonder how much this has to do with the lack of playing time and the recent coaching change at UH.

according to the UH fans Rilay Wallace did not play DW enough, which I believe is true. but I'll be honest with you, just because he's transfering here doesn't mean he will start right away in 08-09, we still have alot of good players.

He was upset about not getting enough playing time. He said he worked extra hard in the offseason and deserved way more PT than he got. I do think he should have played more but this would have been his payoff year if he stayed. DW would have done well in Bob Nash's system. I'm sure he'll be a star for PSU! DW has game!

So, to steal a concept from another thread, what's our way too early lineup for 08-09?
PG- Waters
SG- Hammond
SF- Nelson
PF- Tiefenthaler
C- Coston
6th man- Thomas

I'm sure this could change alot between now and then as new recruits emerge, but that is a pretty nice lineup in the Big Sky!

No way Coston is a center. He is at best a PF, but he definitely does not have the body mass to pound inside with the big bodies. I'd put him at SF if I had an ideal lineup.

I certainly agree as of now, but I was being optimistic in projected him to gain a little bulk over the next couple years. I was also factoring in Bone's taste for smaller, fast-paced lineups. Either way, just having a little fun speculating.

Also, as of now, Thomas is wayyyyy more talented than Coston. You can't keep him out of the lineup, even if he is forced to play center. I don't know how good Tiefenthaler is yet, but the rest of the 5 I agree with, maybe with Hammond as the sixth man. Perhaps Waters would play two and they'd put EJ at point. Who really knows?

Keep in mind of some of the guys we are recruting, Freeman could easily fill in that Center position(for recruting profiles see marty's post on page 1(first post))

I'm inclined to agree with that. It'll be interesting to see Coston's size as practice gets going next season. If he bulks up, he could see minutes at the four. If not, I think Bone would look to use his range at the three.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see him put on about twenty pounds of muscle and start to become a force down in the post. Time will tell.
