2007 Recruiting

Thanks for the info. The info. I had was from a LSU site I can't find now. All it stated was he was transferring to a school in Oregon. Thanks again.

Ian's blog talks about this too. I wonder who the guys with academic issues are. We know about Hammond and Curtis, and have heard hints about EJ--Is there anyone else?

Yeah, I wonder how worried we need to be.
 
If you want to worry, here's who you can add to your worry list:
EJ, JD, JR, Tief and J. Hamm. Clearly the coaches are being proactive in trying to fill the gaps, if the worst possible scenario were to unfold, so I'm sure they're doing all the worrying for you!!

At present, I gather the only team PSU could put on the court right now would be Scottie, Julius, Tyrell, Kyle, and Pree. No subs !!

I've left Sean Smith out intentionally, as I really don't know whether he will be physically capable to play next year, and Tay needs to pick up his socks academically, but he should be able to get academically eligible for next fall. He's normally a good student, and there is the summer quarter still to go.

The coaches will be working overtime tutoring the boys over the coming months, I suspect!!

Who is in charge of handling this? I could understand that many guys with issues in football, but on a 12 man team this is unacceptable.
 
Anyone know if Jamie Jones of U of P is transferring to the Viks? An entry on the other site is claiming this is so, but I haven't seen anything official. He is a good player, a bit limited on offense and a few inches shorter then what you would like, but a hard worker. A good pick-up if true. Go Viks! /users/31/07/37/smiles/whistleb.gif

A transfer means a year to wait. It may not mean someone else is out for next year.

The odds of PSU landing Jeronne Maymon is nothing more than a dream. That kid is a high major recruit regardless of the trouble he got in at Madison Memorial this past season. Talking with him, he has been getting letters from some of the top schools in the country. He is currently the #2 ranked player in Wisconsin and has been receiving strong interest from FSU, Marquette, Illinois, and Keaton Nankivil has most likely been telling Bo to go after this kid.
 
But there's a rumor that he and his brother are a package deal, and most of those schools have no interest in his brother.
