2008 Recruiting Thread

Haven't seen much in the last few days in the recruiting area. I did noticed PSU loss a LB from Washington and the kid from Hood River to Washington State recently. It will be interesting to see what pans out a week from tomorrow. Go Viks!

Anyaorah's 4.4 speed if accurate would tie him for the fastest player on the Florida Gator's 2008 list of recruits.

Again, doesn't make him a great football player but speed kills.

Broadus choosing Cal Poly.

Broadus wants to play QB, and there is sort of a log jam of talent at QB right now. I'm bummed about Coerper going to WSU instead of PSU. He'd look pretty good at DE in a couple of years.

Agree Marty, and I wouldn't be surprised if Broadus doesn't make as a QB at Cal-Poly, unless he really improves his passing abilities

My guess is 8. I thought we had 25 departing seniors and now have 17 verbal commitments, so the simple math tells me it's 8 more. However, schools sometimes give out partial scholarships to be able to sign more players. Therefore, I'm not sure, but it can't be more than 10 to 15.

We need all these OL recruits. I know we lose a couple of major OL guys from last year's team, but depth is a bigger overall concern than replacing specific guys. We just can't be so vulnerable to injuries.
