Also, WEBERHOOPS.com - the new name of the fans basketball site will be up shortly. WSUBBALL will still work for another year.

Thank SMJCPA, I believe he is the one that came up with the new site name.

6-5 Blake Davis and 6-7 teammate Byron Fulton have both verbaled to Weber... They visited campus over Labor day weekend.

I'm under the impression if Rahe offers Corbin Green a scholarship that he will be coming to Weber. How many scholarships does Weber have to give. Is Rahe only looking at Freshmen or are there any JC's in the mix? Should be an interesting year.

I heard through the grapevine that a couple of players have been offered scholarships, and that they will be visiting the university over the next few weekends.

A JC from texas verbaled last wednesday... I'll get more information, or if anyone else has any info, that would be great. Also, does anyone have any information on Matt Washington??

Standard Examiner has reported that Lindsey Hughey has committed to play with the Cats next year. He is currently playing for Seminol State College in Oklahoma. He is a 6'-3" shooting guard, 2nd team NJCAA All-American. Last year ave. 12.8 ppg, 1.5 spg, shooting 51.3% from the field and 40.7% from behind the arc.

Lindsey Hughey was also a McDonalds All-American honorable mention candidate. This guy seems to be legit. During the course of this season, it will be nice to follow him and see his progress. I'm not a 100% sure about this, but I think that Weber has used all of their scholarships available for the 2009-2010 season. I have been wrong before...So don't be shocked if other players are signed.

Are these three the only Fall signees that Weber will have? In my opinion this is a good class... I heard from someone that Rahe got his top recruits..

The signing period started yesterday... So far I haven't heard if anyone has actually signed. I'm thinking that coach is going to wait till after the tourny. So far Weber has three guys that they are intending to sign: Blake Davis SF 6-5, Byron Fulton PF/C 6-7, and Lindsey Hughey SG 6-3 (JC). I know that a few Utah kids are going to be watched this winter to see if any will be offered during the spring signing period (JC as well as High School).

Corbin Green 6-6/6-7 SF and Tommy Tebbs 6-3 SG both are being looked at by the Cats. I haven't heard about any Bigs... I think the Cats are looking to sign Green and Tebbs and then hope both go on missions. Green is a senior at Olympus High School and Tebbs is a Senior at Timpview (I think so).

Also there are a couple of JC kids being looked at... A CSI Player and a couple others.

Tebbs and Green both would be good players to invest in. They are both good, solid, and local players. There are a number of bigs at local JC's that might be of interest to the Cats. The more I look into him the more I like him, Byron Fulton. He averaged 15pts/10rb a game last year for a team that won the Arizona state championship and that has five DI signees. To think that nobody was looking at him, wow; he is a great find and will make an immediate impact on the team.

At the last coaches luncheon Coach said that he was still looking for a wing... Most likely coming from the JC ranks. I'm not sure if Green or Tebbs are being looked at anymore. If either of them are still being looked at by Weber, the staff is probably envisioning them playing for the Cats in 2 or 3 years after serving missions.

During the interview there is sort cameo of Byron Fulton... He's wearing a Weber State hoodie!!! I'm guessing that Blake Davis was sitting next to him.

Pablo Coro signed a letter of intent to play for Weber State last February. He is a senior guard for Juan Diego and is from Chile. I guess he wasn't eligible until region started. He was suppose to play at American Fork, but because of the issues transfered to Juan Diego. Since he has joined their team Juan Diego has become a 3A contender. I think he is a guard... Just last week he went off for 30 against Emery. I guess he has been selected to play in the McDonald's All-American game this year... Hmmmm, coach does it again.

Also, Weber is looking at Judge Memorial's Dee Crandall a SG/SF... and for the 2010 season Binghams Ben Clifford (6'8" 210) and Waterford's Neal Monson 6'10". Clifford is a 86 and Monson is a low 90s recruit.

Today at the luncheon the Wizard talked about getting a guy from a JC in Cali, who reminded the coaches a lot of D-Will... I will try to find any info on the dude. Also, Coach said that the they might be getting two more recruits.

Let's hope one of the other two is a 6-10 with the first name Ben, last name Mills

I hear ya WSUCATFAN!! Ben Mills... PERFECT FIT for the WILDCATS... Unfortunately, he is only a JR. I hope we get him, Weber needs some height, I think Ben would be an Art like player, great rebounder, excellent hands, moves well, and can shoot from outside as well as playing well inside.

Something interesting... Weber doesn't have scholarships for two more players (at least I don't think so). That means one of two things are happening. One, Weber is going to try and get a player as a preferred walkon who will play, like they tried with Ray Kreamer two years ago, or a couple of players wont be coming back.

Scholarship Players (I might be wrong, it's happened before) 2009-2010:
Hansen SR. G/F 6'3" (Starting 3 or 2)
Panos SR. F/C 6'8" (Starting 4 or 5)
Benson SR. G 5'7" (2nd or 3rd string PG)
Ramos SR. F 6'7" (Bench Player; great shooting touch and excellent motivator)
Cottle JR. G 5'8" (PG 4 String)
Morris JR. C 6'9" (Could be the starting C or be first off the bench)
Washington JR. C/F 6'6" (All I know is that this kid can JUMP through the roof and has "freaky" talent)
Hughey JR. G 6'3" (Could be starting 2)
JC Wing JR. (F/G hopefully between 6'3" and 6'5")
Lillard Soph. G 6'3" (Starting 1)
Bullinger Soph. F 6'6" (Starting 3 or 4)
Mahoney Soph. F/C 6'8" (Back up 4 or 5 will play more)
Orchard (I'm virtually positive that he will be coming back) RFresh. F 6'6" (Might not get much time)
Dent RFR. G 5'10" (back up PG or 3rd String)
Fulton FR. F/C 6'7" (Possible Red-Shirt)
Davis FR. F 6'5" (Possible Red-Shirt)
Coro FR. G 6'3" (Possible Red-Shirt)
Possible Signee... Center 7'0" (Just for the Wizard)???
The NCAA only allows 13 Scholarship players, right now we have 16, I'm not sure about red-shirts or other araingments.. I'm sure that either Davis, Fulton, or Coro will be red-shirted next season (all of them could be). Also, I'm not sure if Washington will have a scholarship or not, I'm sure he does. Coach said that he will be signing one for sure this spring, and maybe two. I know that Marcus Carson's scholarship is going to the wing that they are going to sign this spring (Davisesque player; have I mentioned how much I am going to miss D-Will and McCoy). My guess is that someone will be missing next year.
