Any recent news? I heard that there were 13 athletes on visits this week. I did hear from a source that Weber got 10 of their top 11. Is this true?

That's great, now go win the Big Sky and kick Montana's butt!

6'5" 255 OL/DL Keith Bendixen from Saint Joseph High School in Santa Maria, CA will be on his official visit to Weber State this weekend. Keith was the Los Padres League Most Valuable Lineman, All-CIF and 2nd team All-State. He is playing tonight in a basketball game and will fly out tomorrow. He is taking an official visit to San Jose State next weekend.

as players start to verbal, the local kids are great 6'3" 270 Cash Knight son of BYU Shawn Knight Park City HS, Alex Knowles 5'8'' speedster Mountain Crest, Alex Land 6'5" 270 center Oklahoma, Xavian Johnson 5'11" speedster Nevada, Tanner Hinds running back Davis HS, Erik Walker CB Park City HS, and it looks like were still looking for a kicker, the kid from Arizona walks on to ASU. Does antone know of ant other verbal players? I still think that the d and o lines depth is greatly needed. Go Wildcats..

Shelton Robinson from Pocatello Idaho gave a verbal. He is a first team all Idaho O-lineman. 6'4" 265lbs.

two more players from Oklahoma a d/e and linebacker have committed. Coach Mac says a kicker has committed and he will sign 17-19 players. Lots of linemen..

Hopefully this kicker can actually make field goals.

In 2008, our placekicking was best in the Big Sky, hitting all but two in the red zone (one of which was deflected due to a missed blocking assignment), and top ten in the country. Moreover, we had the best kickoffs in the Big Sky.

Kicking is a team sport and requires proper execution on many levels, on both game day and in preparation throughout the week and the year. The coaches let preparation slide in 2009.

Its going to be really tough replacing Snoy...He is a hell of great kicker and a really good guy. He is perhaps the best all-around kicker Weber has ever had. He could do it all!!

Indeed! Most of Snoy's few mistakes were due to bad snaps or missed blocking assignments.

Snoy was great, I think we can all agree that WILDCAT was talking about Williams, who lost his touch this year, lucky we had Snoy to take over.

Yup! Williams lost his mojo alright, but with or without Williams, the special teams coaches will have to make sure that the snapper and holder practice with the kicker every week. 8-)

Apparently WSU didn't offer the youngest Higgins a scholarship. I assume Coach Mac feels comfortable with with the QB position for the future. Jeremy Higgins signed with Utah State yesterday as a QB.

At the signing party, Mac was asked about the QB position after Cam Higgins leaves, and he was quite positive and likes the young talent they have at that position. He mentioned that the program now has four young quarterbacks, including Mike Hoke, the current backup.
