Alcobendas was all over NW preps and my local newspaper (Columbian) this year. Only heard good things. Especially with his placekicking.

I thought DJ Martin was singing with Cal?

Dropped because of academics a little while ago. EWU stuck with him and he's probably a prop. If he can handle a small colder than Cali WA college town and get his grades up he could be one of the biggest recruits to come to the Big Sky. He was a consensus 4 star and top 20 RB before he got in some grade trouble and missed a couple games. Rankings may have slipped but his skill set didn't change. Let's hope he gets on the field ASAP

Awesome! I'm sure coach B and his guys will get this guy on track. He is super impressive.

I count 16 recruits in the stable...anymore coming? Do you know how many scholarships we had available? With Padron and Kaufmann leaving early, plus the early exit of the other RFR QB before playoffs; plus the kid that didin't make it past the 2nd day in August '12...it would seem like we have some spots available.

Kolney Cassel Next SMU transfer to come to us ???

Kolney has an amazing release, a rocket for an arm, an ability to read the field and make all the throws, and he is a winner. The kid has only scratched the surfaces of what a guy like June Jones is going to get out of him. So watch him as SMU. Because his name will be called a lot of Saturdays. A fine student with a solid foundation.

When's the official list come out? It doesn't look like any of the verbals we were previously tracking have backed out, minus Tate. Anyone have the no-shit list?

According to Coach Baldwin they are maxed out at this time. There could be some fallout before or after spring ball or some kids not make it through NCAA clearing but as of now nothing available.

Why do you think we want him and if he has the skill level you mentioned why would they want to release him?

Sorry clawman just my attempt at humor since Bo Levi and Padron came to us from SMU and this is a local kid.

No problem, we need a little levity around here!!

I've heard they're working on a couple of transfers, but I have no idea where they'd be coming from or what positions. I really hope we don't see any fallout from this class. I think Martin is the only non-qual at this time... could be wrong about that.

When asked about transfers Beau mentioned Pullman

Interesting, but not out of the ordinary at all. We have routinely gotten a few transfers from WSU over the years. Doesn't seem like any have been impact players...but you never know.

To All Recruits and families,
It is nice to have your (SONS) becoming Eastern Washington University Eagles. We will get to know many of your sons, by names, numbers, etc. Your sons are coming in to an Outstanding University, closely knitted (sp). You will be very happy to see how the Athletes stand together, and respectful of each other and their Coaches.

Their Coaches knows their 1st responsibility is their "EDUCATION", there are even study classes for the ones that needs them, and Coaches are keeping in touch with them. I hope none thinks this is Political, every year we bring in Sons for our FB Team, and we need to thank them for sparing them with us for 4-5 years. We really appreciate them, and thank you for that. Same goes for our Men BB,WBB,Soccer Team and Track Teams. If I forgot anyone, please excuse me. There are so much yet to come from this University. I spent 21 years in the system, now retired 18 years, there are so much that have been completed, and still moving to "Higher Grounds". Go on with your bad self: ;) ;) So much for my book. Go Eagles!!!!! Vic Wallace
