2014-15 Schedule

The unmentionable school just to the south could give Sac some tips for playing Gonzaga. Those were two tough games this past season....

Only thing I've seen is that Les/Davis is trying to get out of the game with us, according to the Davis forum.
I would assume because Les sees it as another loss and he's fighting for his job.

They did this once before (chicken out).... We didn't resume the series until 2004-05 after a long hiatus.

Wow…just wow. WAFJ if true, of course it is our turn to host the game as well. :ohno:

I sure hope the buyout clause is ridiculous. So they can't beat us on the hardwood and their coach decides to just dodge us all together. Total class.

I agree with everything you guys have said on here about the Ags trying to get out of this game. To me, it is a complete joke and a slap in the face to our rivalry across all sports. Les is fighting for his job, he is in year 4 of 5 and the only thing that has been consistent is the number of players he has run out of town and losing.

I don't think there would be a buyout clause unless we signed an extremely long contract to play each other.

We aren't happy about this decision (if it turns out to be true) any more than you guys are. Hopefully this is the last year with Les at the helm.

:ohno: Yet another cardboard box to throw into the dumpster fire that is dungpile hoops.

So I take it their AD does not value this regional rivalry…I’m kind of feeling we should reciprocate that same approach across the other Oly sports… :?

Agreed. I would like to hear what his excuses are for not scheduling this game. He is paid way more then Katz, has a bigger budget to work with than Katz, and yet for some reason is scared to play a program that has the worst facilities in D1.

I hope you and your fellow fans/alums hold his feet to the fire for such an embarrassing decision. Sad to think your administration stood by and let this happen. Not good. :ohno:

From what I have been told and what I have done myself, multiple emails from alums have been sent to the athletic director expressing their frustrations with the way he has conducted himself on and off the court. It is extremely frustrating to see the program fall even further. We thought that it couldn't go any lower after Stewart left but we were wrong!

The good news is that our current AD did not hire Les and since he has been on campus, Tumey has replaced almost every coach. Unfortunately, Les is one of the holdovers and we are stuck between awful basketball and a big contract buyout.

There goes the biggest attendance game of the year. Any time you have two schools this close to each other and comparable in athletic abilities it is a travesty to pull the plug on the rivalry. Les is definitely holding on to his azz with both hands. Hope the new AD will pull his plug soon and reinstate this very entertaining rivalry. IMO Les has a small man complex hence his inability to coach or retain any big men in his program (look at the transfer lists since Les has been coach).

If we had the same deal as the dungpile and Poly (football Big Sky, rest of sports Big West) this could never happen.

I wish. What doesn't make sense is how the points will be distributed for the Causeway Cup. I am really ashamed of our men's basketball program.
