My son says the vide is good in the workouts.

That is a good thing. :thumb:

BTW, I thought I saw your son put a pretty good hit on a ball carrier in one of the last practices that was on video. I was thinking, who is that #47? :D

I love talking sports. I wish there was more people talk on this forum.

Holt, you like talking sports, check out anygivensaturday.com. A bunch of fan talk nationally about the FCS (among other sports in general). Speaking as the lone PSU representative over there (under the moniker "JALMOND"), I sure would appreciate the help. :thumb:

I should add that, while this site is not Montana or Montana State, it is still one of the more lively ones under bigskyfans.com. Great discussions about PSU here.

I will sign up, but I pretty new to the psu seen. Find me under the name (Goofsmaverick)

I remember Emmanuel Daigbe from a couple years ago. I believe he was an undefeated wrestler his Sr year in high school, besides being an outstanding WR and LB at Kent Meridian. I think he's a real sleeper:

Super Kent Valley Sports Shout Out to KM Emmanuel Daigbe he'll be playing some FOOTBALL at Portland State. Know how hard this young man has worked, all the obstacles hes over come and those hours perfecting his craft. Looking forward to your First Collegiate TD @DaigbeEmmanuel

I remember reading about him leaving UW. Awesome that he's here, but most importantly that he's personally doing well. Welcome to the Park Blocks!

Man these coaches are making good moves. Emmanuel Daigbe kid is a big target. Now the woods kid is a nice WR his self I remember him playing at U of W and his story alone should put butt's in seats. Davis or whoever they have at QB will have great hands and speed out there.

From Harmony HS (Florida) to Butte JC (California) to Portland State (Oregon). This guy is getting to see the Country playing football:

JuCo Football Forer‏
@JuCoFootballACE

Ryan Lesch @lesch_ryan @ Butte JuCo @ButteFootball commits to @psuviksFB

There are many coaches who are great recruiters but have few other coaching skills. Lorenzo Romar at UW is an example. Bruce Barnum may be another.

I don't think that I'd say that a NCAA men's basketball coach has few other coaching skills other than recruiting when they take their program to three sweet sixteens in a six year period. That guy had six 24+ win seasons in a eight year period. There's a little more going on there than recruiting.

Why did he get fired?

Performance below expectation.

My comment was about your comparison about Romar and Barnum with regards to recruiting skills versus the accompanying coaching skills.

Hmm, OK.

:twocents: seems to me that in the end about 90% of coaches get fired. pete carroll, chip Kelley, many nba champion coaches, add nauseum
