2018 Schedule

I can't help but wonder if Kadeezy and HH remember that the SD genius used his cognitive ability and Googling skills when he guaranteed everyone on this board that I was wrong about Sperbeck getting the program on probation. Perfect example of his skill set.

How about when he stated anyone could accomplish what Troy Taylor did with the offense at EWU. A guy who doesn't know enough football to play Madden and he's talking crap about Troy Taylor?

There's a couple examples of what I'm talking about.
Still twisted on Sperbeck.

And yes, anyone could have done what Taylor did at EWU with what EWU had at WR last year. BTW, Taylors' offense has only scored more points in P12 play than 3 other offenses so far this year.

You skipped right past the part where you guaranteed everyone on this board that the program was not on NCAA probation. YOU WERE WRONG as you frequently are.

And yes, I'm "twisted" Sperbeck allowed the program to be put on probation as we are still paying for it...but you're not, genius?
That only demonstrates how little you know about the recruiting process.

I “guaranteed” it? Link?

Speaking of sanctions, Sears just won the most D1 games in Hornet history and put this program on the cusp of its first ever playoff berth with players recruited while the sanction were in place. So how is this program still paying for Sperbeck’s mistakes? BTW Sears wouldn’t even be here if Sperbeck wouldn’t have hired him as DC in the offseason prior to 2014. Kind of ironic isn’t it?

I would spend time rattling off examples of where you embarrassed yourself on here, like PMing me claims that Sears original contract wasn’t really a 3 year deal but 3 one year deals, or claiming the program had no resources to right the ship; but I’ll stick to your latest and most comical buffoonery when you claimed that the AD hire was really just Massari and “three other guys” because it’s low hanging fruit. Keep the hits coming because all of us on here enjoy a big laugh.

Your logic is because we won 7 games this year the probation didn't hurt our recruiting? Thank you for displaying your complete and utter ignorance so clearly...couldn't have done it better myself.

You ready to start signing these posts, yet?

Glad to See Sac and Weber playing each other as conference mates again. 4 year OOC series was nice and all but I prefer the games being conference games again......for now.

You're just saying that because Sears has been out-coached by Hill ever since he has been here. :ohno:

I like the Weber match-up as well and it's a cheap and easy flight. :thumb:

 Hey Sac did beat Weber in Jay Hill's first year if that means anything.

Wait, let me get this straight. So your argument is that wins shouldn't be a metric used to determine if this program is "still paying" for the recent probation? :wtf:

So basically you are saying that wins don't matter. Congrats, you've gone full retard.

If we would have went undefeated your position would almost make sense.

Go ask the coaching staff how much negative impact those probation sanctions have had, especially the during the two seasons prior to this one when their hands were tied and you and a couple of your lil' minions were busting their balls about not producing a good enough product on the field. Be sure to tell them exactly who you are...straighten their asses out. Oh,I forgot...you're afraid to talk to them/about them unless you're hiding behind that keyboard.

Why are you conveniently ignoring the end of my last post?

Yup, 2 win seasons are unacceptable regardless of the circumstances. Too many weak teams in the BSC to not see at least 3 or 4 wins every year. Credit to Sears and his staff for turning this around...all with recruits they landed when "their hands were tied"....or is that "still paying" for probation?

I'll even meet you at the football office...walk you right in and introduce you to Coach Sears and the staff. Then we can take a walk down to the weight room and you can meet some of the players. I'm sure they'd love to get coached up by SDHornet.

Being a coward is unacceptable regardless of the circumstances.

Can we please just shut the entire board down and create a blog called OSH Fountain of Wisdom? Maybe? Tag line like the smartest guy in the room who can't spell. And then we can all just show up here and let OSH explain to us knuckleheads how smart he is. There would be no need to talk football, or any other sport for that matter.

Thank you. This is a football board. Let's talk football. It seems that OSH has a festering burr in his saddle for SDHornet that I for one am getting tired of. Let's move on to something productive here.

There should be a separate "smack" section for such back and forth and for those who care to follow it. It shouldn't be allowed to infect every thread.
I come here for shared information, speculation and honest opinions on our Hornets not to follow personal feuds.

I love this because it shows that Orr is on top of his stuff.

"“Even though we don’t get revenue from students coming (to games), it’s really important for us to have students at our events because they draw the atmosphere, and they get everybody more excited,” Pritsker said.

Orr added that Sac State needs to continue to schedule quality opponents so fans will be more encouraged to visit and pay for play.

“If you had a good experience coming to games as a student, you’re more likely to come as an alum or continue to follow Sac State athletics or football or basketball or just come back for the homecoming (game),” Orr said."

 He is. But this is the best quote from that article:
As other departments at HSU and UC Berkeley struggle, Orr said he hopes to keep up with the cost of running a competitive Division I athletic program that features 21 teams.

“So, in order for us to do that, we really got to put a lot of focus on things we can do to drive more support, (and) that’s the goal,” Orr said. “It’s not to cut programs or undercut students for programs, and it’s certainly not to overspend.”

Orr said it, but you can bet Nelsen shares the same philosophy.

Remember the Big Sky vs Missouri Valley Football Challenge and how we were left out of it this season because we sucked the previous two years? Maybe we get to join in on the fun this upcoming year thanks to our performance on the field this season.
