Where was Brayden Hamilton? He signed yesterday and we recognized his commitment and then suddenly he wasn't on the list that was released to the media. Is he coming or not? We desperately need TE depth. And, personally, I think he is a serious talent who has a great deal of potential and upside to his game. He reminds me of another great TE that was once here at the Weber (Cam Quayle).

Regardless, I really like this class. Some awesome talent has been recruited, now it is time to really get to work. Looking forward to another great season from our Wildcats.

As for PWO, from what I have been able to see there could be anywhere from 5-10 guys who are joining the program. Mostly local guys, but some PWO's from out of state. Just tells us where we've come as a program.

Not on the list of 17, but definitely they provided him with the graphic to post on his twitter and it is still there. Three coaches retweeted it as well as @weberstatefb Maybe he didn't get the LOI signed yet? Or maybe he is planning on a mission and they are short a scholarship so they are pushing him forward.

He is listed in the SE article: https://www.standard.net/sports/weber-state/weber-state-football-adds-speed-experience-with-football-signees-on/article_7b3897fc-01d2-5fdc-b8e8-6e8aa8ff857f.html

Dontae McMillan is rated as the second best RB to sign with a FCS program.

That article was pre-signing day. It will be interesting to see how Weber's class looks after a couple years.

That is true. Recruiting is not an exact science. There will be surprises.

One thing that I feel will be easy to predict is that, unlike the past several years, the offence will start the year ahead of the defense. I think that the defense will be good, but may show some growing pains along the way. The offence should hit the ground running. :coffee:

Experience wise, the offense returns almost everyone and should be improved. Scheme wise, our defense is light years ahead of our offense. Just a question of how quickly new talent develops and performs.

With more knowns and less unknowns, the coaches will be more comfortable in opening up the play book a little more. On O, I think we will see a level of confidence that allows what you would call a better scheme. As always, a lot of that depends on the continued development of the O line. We didn't recruit a lot for that position, so our coaches must have a lot of confidence in the depth of tallent.

Nice to have DBs with college experience (Ofahengaue and Desmond Williams) sign to help a depleted defensive backfield. I think Williams in particular will have a big impact right away.

There are also a few of the incoming freshmen and last years RS freshmen who will have a chance to contribute. Over the last couple of years we have signed some quality guys for those positions. It will be interesting to see who steps up, and at LB as well. :coffee:

Agreed. I really like what I see in the highlight videos. Ofahengaue is a hitter. He looks to have played a lot of zone coverage at Snow as a safety, If he can cover man to man reasonably well, he will be a nice player for Weber.

Good for him. Hope he has an injury free career in Missoula.

To me, it seems as if he would have been more insurance than anything else, or we wouldn't promise playing time. Either way that tells us that we are deep. Personally, I think our OL corp is pretty damn good.

Agreed. He might have seen playing time, or he might have been a depth chart guy. I have no concerns over the talent on the O-line. We are good and we are deep.

Offensive Line was a glaring weakness for Montana last year, I am sure he will start for the Griz.
