Bergan chose Northern Colorado over Lamar, North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota State and Lehigh.

first-team Class AA All-State first team honors both his junior and senior year. He was also a finalist for South Dakota Mr. Basketball. During his senior year, he averaged 15.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

His most influential person growing up was Don Meyer, a UNC alum, and Aberdeen, South Dakota resident.

In addition to losing Spight, Johnson, Morgan, and Loose to graduation, Sylla and Glotta are transferring.

Tre'Shon Jones-Smoots signed. 23.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game his junior year. Did not play his senior season due to a knee injury.

Also signed 6-9 forward Roy Grigsby, from Louisville, Colorado. 15.1 points, 6.7 rebounds per game. 42% from three-point range.
